Decent hotel with a nice quiet room. Bathroom fine though shower over bath takes a bit of adjusting to right temperature. Water pressure is very good.

We booked a triple room for 3 adults. The room had two good sized singles but the third sofa bed was a bit on the small size. (More a child than adult sized bed). Also we had to ask for extra mug and glass. Complimentary water and nuts are not replenished however we drank the tap water to no ill effect.
Breakfast for 10 euros each was very good- plenty of choice and hot food replenished frequently. Coffee was good too.
We enjoyed a drink in the hotel bar one evening and the service was very friendly.
Only downside for us was that the hotel was a bit further from centre than we would have liked. Not usually a problem as we like walking but it’s via very busy roads and we were there during a heatwave. However the price of hotel reflected this and it was good value.

We stayed over the weekend here and we absolutely loved it! Hotel is super clean, breakfast is amazing with fantastic staff that made as feel special. When we visit Zagreb again we'll definitelly be staying here again. Thank you for making us feel at home.

A very nice, small and clean hotel. The room was spacious and the view of the sea was stunning. Great sunrises and sunsets! Walking distance to Split old town and basic services nearby. Rooftop pool was quiet and there was a nice infinity pool.

A wonderful hotel! Would genuinely stay here again if I ever revisited Split. The staff were very friendly, the room was spacious and the hotel was modern with great facilities. The reason it stands out from other hotels in Split is that if you're based in Old Town you may get the chance to stay in a beautiful room in the walls of the city but they are small and there is no space in Old Town for any of the hotels to have extra facilities such as a pool because it is a crowded area and a protected UNESCO site. As this hotel is a little way out from the Old City (10 mins by Uber, 20 mins walk which I did every day and is very straightforward to do), this hotel has space for a pool with an amazing view, a spa and a restaurant. It also means you're away from the crowds which is great. In addition, it is in walking distance of the only sandy beach in the area (get there early it is super crowded). The restaurant was nice - a proper sit down restaurant not just somewhere to grab a pizza. The area also had shops so if you needed anything you can easily grab it. Split is also a wonderful city, rich in history. If you're in doubt as to whether to visit and where to stay, I would honestly recommend a trip to Split and staying at this hotel. I was a solo traveller and it was wonderful place to visit alone or as a group.

Nice hotel located 20 minute walk (around the promenade) from the town. Rooms are of a good size and very clean and staff generally were very friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant, both breakfast and dinner was good. Upstairs bar area and mini pool are nice but it can get quite busy there in peak times. If using taxis to and from the old town beware as there are scams operating with drivers trying to charge e40 when the cost, according to the hotel should only be around e10-e20.

Average hotel about 20 mins walk from town.
As per previous reviews there is an unoccupied building opposite which is a shame as it overlooks the outside eating area and obscures some views.
We were lucky and had a top floor room with great views across to the sea.

Room was spacious and kept very clean.
One small gripe, shower was large but there was no shelf to put any bottles, sponges etc so they had to sit on the floor. I have some mobility issues so not great for me.
The reception staff were good, especially the gentleman. Restaurant staff not so much. Most seemed totally disinterested and didn’t engage. We had to regularly ask for items on the breakfast buffet to be replaced. No eggs, no mugs, bread had run out. Got a bit frustrating after day 3.
Pool area is small but we managed to get a bed most times. I think this is more of a city break hotel where you’d use the pool for an hour here and there between trips, rather than expecting to spend a full day poolside.
Be careful with taxis. We had been pre warned but on our first night we were tired and I was just desperate to get back to the hotel and were charged €20. Next day booked with Uber and less than €5.
Found a lovely restaurant a few minutes walk away Movi. Well worth a visit if you fancy giving the town a miss one night.
Some great trips. Enjoyed the visit to Krka and the swimming afterwards. Also the speedboat to Lagoon and Trogir.
Overall we enjoyed our trip but a few little things would have made a big difference.

A Hotel that Can't Keep Up with Climate Change

Nice location if you want to be outside the city walls and have parking - their parking is conveniently located and reasonably priced which was a priority for us.

The room was generally fine, but they are, evidently just not set up for our increasingly hot weather. The room was 24 degrees celcius when I arrived and the supposed controls (which were frankly inscrutable) didn't do anything to adjust the temperature. When I called the front desk they said they could adjust it from there. A later call revealed that 22 degrees was the lowest it could go and that guests are not able to regulate the temperature themselves.
In addition, the bed had only a duvet and comforter and no top sheet - so the only bedding was not appropriate for the season at all. In short, it just wasn't a comfortable place to sleep during a 33 degree plus heat wave. And I think it's fair to say that these kinds of temperatures are no longer outliers.

Man, when I shell out couple of hundred euros a night, I expect it to be closer to 5 star and not an average, unmemorable place that I most certainly will not visit again. Rooms in the back building quite dark,small, additionally downsized with useless glass table and a ghastly retro chair(lot of things in this hotel are missmatched). Balcony way too small for 2 persons, you need to have model measures in order to fit both. Avoid pool area; way too crowded, many persons going in and out next to the pool in order to enter hotel, no privacy. There are couple of amazing beaches nearby which I strongly reccomend. Breakfast food solid, tried dinner on 1 night, got robbed for 27 euro a person, I've eaten better food back home in hospital cafeteria. Employees professional but distanced, we've noticed local people in general are not very welcoming. Location is efficiently connected with old town by bus. Dubrovnik in general is extremely pricey and the fact that quality doesn't justify it makes it even worse.
Maybe this hotel could have potential but I just couldn't see it.

I find myself echoing many of the sentiments expressed by other recent reviewers of this hotel, which is a pity as most reviews were really positive earlier on in the year and that was partly why we booked.

I find myself echoing many of the sentiments expressed by other recent reviewers of this hotel, which is a pity as most reviews were really positive earlier on in the year and that was partly why we booked.
LOCATION
We loved Lapad with its marina and the breathtaking scenery and the hotel location is perfect - a rather hairy 20 minute bus ride to the beautiful old town for a couple of euros or a much more comfortable 10 minute Uber ride for approx €7. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel.
ROOMS The room standard was basic. Our room definitely required refurbishment. This was disappointing as we were there for 10 nights on half board and expected better. We didn't opt for a superior room as they don't have balconies.
The bed linen was changed twice during our stay, but the sheets, duvets and pillows all needed renewing. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and had all the necessary accessories required: magnifying mirror, hairdryer etc. Towels were changed daily but we weren't asked to be eco friendly and specify if this was necessary. The very heavy glass and metal bathroom door was a health and safety hazard waiting to happen. The air con wasn't good and stopped when you vacated the room - only one key card was provided so it wasn't possible to leave it on which is probably intentional. Room cleaning staff were pleasant.
POOL
The pool area is attractive and clean and pool towels are provided daily. The 'no reserving sunbeds' rule was totally ignored by everyone. We are definitely not serial sunbed reservers, but the staff did not remove any towels left there in advance (as they promised to do) and so I'm afraid that having booked a 10 nights stay and paid good money for doing so, we joined the ' if you can't beat them, join them' club and left our towels on the loungers before breakfast. Otherwise, we would never have found a sunlounger after 9.00am. The pool area is not really geared up for a large number of guests who wish to relax in the sun for most of the day and this seems to have taken the hotel by surprise. In April and May, I imagine guests are sightseeing for most of the day and may use the pool for an hour or two at some point if it's warm enough. This I feel they could probably cope with, but the area around the pool isn't large enough for the number of guests peak season who want to sunbathe and take a dip to cool down from the 30° heat.
Many guests appear to use the hotel as a 3 day pre or post cruise stopover, or en route to another area of Croatia and so there were people constantly coming and going.
RESTAURANT & BAR
The food choice was good at breakfast and dinner and food was hot. Half board is good value because Dubrovnik is expensive. We were pleased to see photos on the website before we arrived, of dining tables beautifully set with white tablecloths etc. In reality, the tables have a paper drinks menu as a placemat. Rather more McDonalds style. Restaurant staff were pleasant but a little disorganised e.g. clearing our table away when we had only gone to get dessert. We ate out twice. The lobby bar staff were the most friendly and efficient of all hotel staff we encountered. Drinks are pricey and there is no draught beer in the pool bar or restaurant. Wine is only served in 150 ml measures or a 750ml bottle - no choice of small, medium or large glass. Measures are strictly 150ml too! The pavement bar (Piccola Venezia?) is immaculately clean and staff there very pleasant but there was no atmosphere.
RECEPTION
Having read previously that staff were friendly and helpful, we were surprised at the abrupt attitude we encountered. On check in they seemed to be anticipating an immediate argument about the tourist tax, which we already knew we had to pay and were actually happy to do. I think we made one enquiry about the bus midweek which was also answered with a distinct lack of charm. On check out we felt again that there was a slight defensive attitude in case we quibbled about our bill. We didn't as it happened as it was spot on!
Overall I think the hotel is better suited to a short break stay earlier in the season if your main intention is to visit Dubrovnik old town or do island trips. The extreme heat stopped us from doing some activities we had planned. We would definitely go back to Croatia as it is such a beautiful place and we were overwhelmed by the old city of Dubrovnik, but we would choose a different hotel next time.

We were very happy with our room on 7th floor-it was clean, with modern bathroom, comfortable beds, air-conditioning and a tiny balcony with a side view of the harbour. The room was cleaned well every day, and smelt lovely when we returned each evening. Breakfast was good - plenty of the usual choices. The pool was very welcome in such hot weather, we enjoyed relaxing in the shade and never had any problem getting a couple of sunbeds. The evening meal has soups and salads for starters, plenty of choice of meat, fish, vegetables and a pasta for mains and cake and ice cream for dessert. No drinks provided, even a glass of water needed to be paid for.
Live entertainment each evening by the pool. Hotel directly opposite the harbour, Lapad itself very pleasant. Enjoyed the coastal walking trail. 45 minute walk to the old town-great views of the coast.
