The hotel’s central location is undoubtedly its biggest advantage. Situated just a short walk from Monastiraki Square and the Acropolis, it’s perfect for exploring the city on foot. The bustling Varvakios Market is right next door, which adds a unique local vibe, though it might not appeal to everyone due to the early morning noise.
The breakfast buffet was quite disappointing. The scrambled eggs appeared to be cooked rather than fried, releasing an unusual liquid. The vegetables, especially the tomatoes, were far from fresh and practically inedible. Overall, the breakfast fell short of expectations. NOT Recommended.
The room was clean, modern, and equipped with the essentials.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. They provided helpful tips for sightseeing.
Athens Center Square Hotel is a good choice for tourists who prioritize location and value. While it’s not a luxury property, it delivers comfort, convenience, and great service.
The hotel is an good choice for those who want to stay in the heart of Athens, enjoy budget-friendly rates, and have a decent place to sleep.
It's recommended to request rooms facing the Acropolis for a better experience.
I'm not sure I will consider staying there again on my next visit to Athens.

This was our second time to Athens so had a fair idea of what to expect. This our first stay at Athens Centre Square hotel we found to have many good points such as helpful friendly staff, spotless rooms serviced by great cleaners, good breakfast and a bar on the roof which has views to die for that must be as good as anything in Athens.
Unfortunately the hotel has one big downside that’s not its own fault. That is location, great proximity for getting around Athens but on a street which drug use is openly carried out and many undesirable people are constantly asking for money as soon as the sun goes down. The street is also a market street which after closing has a few bad smells and grubby appearance.
Shame for the hotel and great staff but this street would stop me recommending this for future visits unless the situation improves.

Walls seem to be somewhat thin, so you can hear your neighbours and they can probably hear you too. On the last day got kicked out by phone call from the reception at 11am. They stated that the international standard for check-out would no longer be 12am. Not an elegant gesture, but that being the Balkans, what should I have expected? Otherwise the staff was courteous, helpful and efficient.

We have just returned from a great 3 night break. We stayed in a standard room which had everything you would need for a short city break. The room was clean, it included a kettle and tea/coffee and bathroom toiletries. The breakfast catered for all dietary requirements (including some Greek specialties), and the rooftop views of the city were an added bonus. Checkout is at 11am and you can help yourself to the tea/coffee and toilets if you have a later flight home. This is a really nice touch that I’ve never experienced before. The reception staff are really helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. This hotel represents amazing value for money, considering how central it is. It is within walking distance of all the major sights and we would look to stay here again on a future trip to this interesting city.

We stayed in one of the 5 rooms on the first floor. The location is very good. A few minutes walk from sunset spot, street food, supermarket, and main bus terminal. I believe there are more rooms on the second floor which match the pictures shown on this website more.

I have no complains. The room is perfect and matches with the descriptions on the website that we used to book the room. The airport transfer is €30 one way in cash. The environment tax is €4.50. Breakfasts were good quality and quantity. Instant coffee provided in the room. There was a blackout for 15 minutes during our stay. Emergency light above the door worked well. One 1.5-litre bottle water given during our 3-night stay. In a nutshell, we love the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Overall experience was great.

The hotel is fantastic, and their terrace offers the best views of the sunset. The hotel is well located, very near to the taxi & bus station, near to some good restaurants, and the cable car. One is spoilt for choice for breakfast- in room or on the terrace

For the price this boutique hotel is amazing. The view of the Caldera from our balcony was stunning. Breakfast served to your patio each morning. Water bottles in the fridge. Tea kettle with tea and coffee. Iron and ironing board. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Very walkable to restaurants.

We went to this hotel to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary. This was our second visit to the Theoxenia and third to Santorini.

We don’t have high standards when it comes to hotels. We primarily come for the area, not the hotel or its facilities.
But this hotel really pushed our limits...
1. The breakfast is bad. Mushy and tasteless. After a couple of days, we were eating it reluctantly. Every day it's the same

But this hotel really pushed our limits...
1. The breakfast is bad. Mushy and tasteless. After a couple of days, we were eating it reluctantly. Every day it's the same food, and some days it looks like it's the leftovers from the day before... which already looked like the leftover from the day before that.
2. The room is not cleaned properly. We slept on the same sheets for 6 days (no problem in general, but for a '4-star' hotel, it's a bad thing). After day 4, we asked at reception when they would be changed, and they said 'tomorrow'. The day after that, they said it again...
Room cleaning removed our hand soap one day, and when we went to reception to ask for a new one, they didn’t understand what 'hand soap' was and offered us 4 shower gels to wash our hands with. After doing that for a couple of days, and not getting a new one with room cleaning, we had to go to the reception again, finally getting a regular bar of hand soap.
After 4 days, we finally got new towels, but the old ones were not removed, even the ones already on the floor. Eventually, one towel on the floor started turning a bit brown because of the dirt (and maybe the leaking toilet, because yeah, that was also the case) and they would not take it when cleaning the room.
3. The overall state of the hotel, both inside the room and the entire terrain, is not good. It looks old and used. The inside of the room has mold marks, the 'rain' part of the shower doesn’t seem to work, there were water leaks due to the rainfall, we didn’t have warm water a couple of evenings, etc....
It’s not all bad, though:
The location of the hotel is good for sightseeing on the island, with lots of interesting things to do within an acceptable distance. The view from the hotel is great.
And, the hotel really has good potential. If it’s cleaner and better maintained, and the overall service is a bit better, it could really be a great location to stay.
Summarized: Don’t be fooled by the '4-star' rating. It’s maybe 2 by the looks of it.

We were a bit nervous after reading the reviews on this hotel however we were pleasantly surprised. We went for the all inclusive which was good along with the service. Bar and pool area lovely with stunning views. Rooms are basic and not 4* but we had a comfortable stay,

This is a quiet location with a couple of tavernas and a beautiful little beach , this suited us perfectly but if your after a party place this isn’t it. Location is hilly which wasn’t a problem for us , but maybe for those who are less mobile.
Bus stop outside hotel to enable you to visit corfu town and other places , cash only and no card, be warned buses are never on time and it’s not unusual to be 30 mins late but generally a good service.
Lovely holiday and would return .

Rundown , in desperate need of a refurbishment.
Unclean.
Staff unhappy and unapproachable , unable to acknowledge guests.
Bar left unattended , we walked to the shop it was quicker ! No branded drinks,
No entertainment , no information about amenities , day trips etc.

The staff were exceptional, from the receptionist when we arrived to all the bar, buffet and kitchen staff. Our cleaner was fantastic and a lovely person. All very genuine people, superior customer service.
The place itself has a beautiful clean pool in gorgeous surroundings, with huge palm streets that are very striking. Lovely bar and seating areas to have drinks or a meal, in a great tranquil atmosphere.
The buffet breakfast was top notch with everything you can think of from freshly cooked eggs eg., fried scramble and really nice omelettes with filling of your choice., there was bacon beans and mushrooms, a large selection of continental items (different everyday) and fresh bread to toast, plenty of beverages, including orange juice you could squeeze yourself, other fruit juices and tea and coffee. The egg chef was a lovely friendly man and a pleasure to meet.
The place itself is a bit out of the way and there is a slight incline on the way out until you get on the main road at the top, but we’ll worth putting up with. We walked down to the village at night and got a taxi back, but there are a few restaurants nearby and of course the hotel restaurant itself if you do not feel like venturing out. Lovely and quiet at night so very relaxing stay. Well recommended, we will be back

I enjoyed the breakfast here. Admittedly we had the same thing each morning - the omelettes. They were freshly made to order, generous fillings and tasted amazing. We also had food at the hotel one lunch and one evening and the food was brilliant each and every time.
Staff were friendly throughout the hotel and we were able to park for free without issues finding a space.
The hotel was a bit of walk into town - probably looking about 20 minutes or so, and a bit of a hilly walk too which was fine for us but might not be everyone's cup of tea.

This visit was more full English style, bacon, beans, tinned mushrooms, cold scrambled eggs etc. The random bits of Greekish style food were filo pastry stuffed with whatever the leftovers were from previous days with no labels to tell you what any of the food was, plus soggy bits of pastry in syrup. One day there was a rice pudding item, the next the same thing but in filo pastry. Loads of flies buzzing around as nothing was covered up. Very disappointed as the food on our first visit was amazing. There were also some very selfish people reserving sunbeds all day but not sitting on them until late afternoon, not the hotels fault but all in all it's put us off. What was our favourite hotel in Pefkos it's not any more and we probably won't book again.

In the past we have also stayed in the Matina which is part of this hotel group and is a good choice if you want the stay in the resort centre but if your idea is for a relaxing holiday in a laid back environment the Village is a great choice. Although it is approximately a fifteen minute walk, to us that is part of the attraction.
The hotel itself is not too big and has a choice of studios and one and two bedroom apartments. In the past we have stayed in studios which are of a decent size with everything you need for self catering but this year as we were late booking we could only get a one bedroom for four people, room 216, which was excellent and caught the evening sun. However, what makes this hotel for us is the staff. In the kitchen there are Nektaria, Manolis and Mariana who kept us fed at breakfast and who produced evening meals of such a high quality that on our return we will be definitely booking half board.
In the bar there is Kostas, Dimiris and Eva who always greeted their customers with an enthusiasm that was very welcoming and regardless how busy they were they would always find time for a chat.
Our room was kept clean by the hard working Blerina who always greeted us with a smile and the odd word of English which was far better than my poor Greek.
The hotel is managed by Vasilis who is not your typical hotel manager as he is not frightened to do everything from helping to serve breakfast to working the bar and seems to work from morning to night, he says that there is plenty of time to rest when the season is over.
Finally, there is Andela who is much more than a receptionist and as the first person you meet she sets the tone for your stay and immediately you know you have made a good choice. Nothing is any problem to her and regardless of your accent, we’re Scottish, her communication skills are excellent.
Would we return to the Pefkos Village Resort, definitely as we intend to book this week.

Drinks a little overpriced but not extortionate. However the one disappointment was the buffet food at breakfast - lunch and dinner. It was pretty much the same every day and what wasn't eaten was generally used again. I was able to see into the kitchen and saw leftovers being cling filmed.
Please be aware that apart from the pools all other activities are chargeable.
However overall this is a fantastic hotel.

We’ve just stayed at wonderful Athena Palace Village. Everything was excellent, very clean, spacious Roos, comfortable beds,staff is amazing, the food also was very good. The hotel is truly deserving of 5 stars.We would definitely like to come back here.

We came here for our wedding anniversary and an early 70th birthday for me too!
We had some initial concerns but were lucky enough to meet with Despi ( manager) who was very professional and listened to our concerns and made our last couple of days so much better

Just returned from a week staying at the Acrotel Athena Pallas (Armonia) . This is the first time staying in a hotel environment as normally stay in a self catering villa; so was concerned with several things like feeling overwhelmed with people, how I’d cope with the food etc but I have to say I found it all perfect! The resort is beautifully designed and feels very intimate; I was very happy with our room, especially the fab air conditioning and loved the allocated sunbeds in full sun. I noted a previous criticism on a previous review relating to their beds in the shade; all it would take is a flag to put on parasol to say “free to use” for those in the sun whose “owners” are perhaps out for day or down on the beach so that those in shade know they can use etc?
The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. All in all it was very relaxing break, even more so that I did not have to lift a finger with any cooking or cleaning!
Beautiful sunsets and lovely sunrise swims in the warm sea.
Enjoyed the hike into the hills of which you can obtain maps and info via reception.
Loved the various swings and photo opportunity areas.
Enjoyed the food; especially the desserts and happy to report just a 4lb weight gain! Please inform Fani of this lol!
If I had just one criticism if would be that the packed lunch did not mirror the standard of food had at breakfast, lunch and dinner and personally had I been given a box/wrapping I would have preferred to create my own lunch from breakfast! I had white bread in my packed lunch (no choice) and I don’t eat this; the sandwich was not cut etc and no choice given.
Also, it may be worth considering one free access pass to spa facilities per visit as this may then open up more people booking again /using services and treatments? Just a suggestion?

The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the town, just a few minutes’ walk from the main strip and the beautiful seafront. It’s a great base if you want to explore the nearby shops, bars, and restaurants, or just enjoy a relaxing day by the beach.The hotel itself is small but well-maintained, with a modern, clean look from the moment you enter. Our room was cozy and spotless, offering all the essentials, including a fridge and a safe at no extra cost. The air conditioning kept us cool, although it’s placed right above the bed, so you might need to adjust it to avoid a sore throat in the morning.Food at the hotel was fresh and varied. Every meal included a range of options, from 12-14 hot dishes to fresh salads and locally-sourced fruits, which we appreciated. The restaurant is located on the 4th floor, and the views—especially at breakfast—are simply stunning. There’s show cooking during breakfast and dinner, adding a nice touch to the experience. We did find that some items became repetitive after a few days, but that’s pretty common with all-inclusive stays.The bar offers a decent selection of drinks, and while some beverages were more basic, we found the gin and local wines quite enjoyable.
