Welcome to Athens with a very good breakfast

K29 was lovely BUT it is not a place I would recommend for older persons or if you want to relax in peace and quiet - the area is too noisy. Early morning/late night and during the night. I am not sure whether it was because of Easter

Beds might be a bit too soft for some but clean fresh linen, spacious bathroom and shower makes up for it. We had a kettle and microwave in our room which was A Big plus. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

The welcome by friendly and helpful staff with a little welcome drink was my absolute favorite. Nothing was too much too ask.
Booked a single room and got an upgrade to double. Everything in the room was nice, clean and comfortable.

We arrived at K29 early and were greeted by a friendly receptionist who checked us in and offered us a nice cold lemonade whilst we waited a few minutes for our room to be ready. Our room was very clean with a good powerful shower in the bathroom. A kettle and cups were available in the small kitchenette, and the room was equipped with an iron and ironing board. Breakfast was good selection of cold meats, cheese, yogurt, fruits and cereals and pastries, plentiful and very enjoyable. You could take coffee and tea to use in the room. The hotel was a few minutes walk to the metro, and 10 to 15 minutes stroll to Syntagma Square, the Acropolis and all the restaurants, cafes and bars. Although some of the streets close to the hotel were the same as many large inner city areas, we never felt uncomfortable even at night. You just need to be aware as you would in any large city. Throughout our stay the staff could not have been more helpful, particularly Grandeleia and Theodora. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Athens.

First of all I want to thank the managment and all the staff of the K29 Athenaeum Hotel for which I consider one of the best accomodation which me and my wife have truly enjoyed. We stayed at the hotel for a total of 12 days and I truly say that the service and dedication provided by the staff was great. We surely enjoyed the breakfast on the 7th floor with a side to side verandah and a fanastic view of the acropolis etc. The brekfast itself was tasty and very delicious and fresh with lots of items to choose from. And a big thank you to the waitress and receptionist who served us always with that sincere smile which shows that the greeks are great at heart. Long time ago I worked on a cruise ship as musician with Epirotiki Lines, the best years of my life. Returning to Greece after so much years proved that these people remain sincere, hard working and they show great respect. The room we had was great, with a large size bathroom and kitchenette which served us to the utmost. It was always cleaned with clean towels, etc. Contrary to what others wrote, the area is completely safe, only during the night like other countries one has to take drastic measures to avoid some narrow side streets, due to the fact that Athens has alot of foreigners and drug abuse is visible in some areas. My room (a triple) was quite big and comfortable, kitchenette and bathroom were ok, but no possibilities to change room temperature -air conditioning digital panel seems to be locked- and, most of all, too noisy. I slept only a few hours, especially in the last night because of continuos traffic noises. No double glazing or soundproof windows, even if the hotel is on one of the busiest streets in downtown Athens. Unbelievably noisy, I wouldn't stay at k29 again!

We have Ben in the hotel July 2024 in 9 days, and must say we are disapointed of a 4 * hotel.
The pools are very dirty, the Water is not clear in any time and full of sand. The Water in the pool smells terrible and it is not

I asked in the reception, what kind of Water they have in the pool, becaus we didnt feel any clor- The reception Said that every day before 8 clock, they put in clor.
The pool area is very full and crowded.
The room is Old and worn.
We Can not complaine about the cleaning, becaus there was almost none. 😂😂We had cleaning 2 times, 2 times clean towels, same bed sheets all time, and the towels to pool the same in 9 days. 🤨 we asked in reception about cleaning, the answer was, “we have cleaning every 2. Day” 🤔
Under the door to the room, we had 2 cm crack from door to floor. So the guests as chikade, cockroach and a lot of other insekts, came to visit us. 🤔
Next door the nabo has a dog, and barks day and night… terrible to hear..day and night..
We enjoyed the trip, but was very disappointed over the hotel. We know that it is July and High season, but still a lot of things the hotel needs to do better.

This hotel is definitely a 3 star, never a 4 star. We visited a 5 star hotel whilst out here and it was leaps above this one.
I don’t care about the star of the hotel anyway, as long as it’s clean and good value.

You can never get a sun bed which is the biggest thing that ruined this hotel for me. My partner was up at 6.30am to get a sunbed and people were running over to them like animals in a zoo!! Some guests even took our towels off our sun beds whilst we went back to change our babies nappy!!!
There was young children in the pool eating food, ham rolls and young adults drinking cocktails and smoking, I witnessed several drinks get knocked over in to the pool. This could be easily resolved though just by staff keeping an eye or some signs.
Drinks were nice although cocktails should have been served in cocktail glasses rather than the tiny short ugly glasses on an evening.
There is clearly too many rooms in this hotel for the sunbeds by the pool and on the beach as by about 10/11am they were all gone (pool ones were taken by 7.30am everyday)! Staff also did not monitor the reserved and not used sunbeds which was a shame as there was so many that sat with towels on but were empty the whole day!!
Food was good and nice but was repetitive on the meats, rice and salad. No typical kids food other than chips, no chicken nuggets/pizza/hot dogs which didn’t bother us but if we were travelling with young children it would have been a problem!
Ice cream was a nice touch, and entertainment like aqua fit was a good laugh.
Would I stay again?
Probably not just due to the sun bed issue, if this hotel had allocated beds or enough beds for all guests in the hotel then yes I would.
Room was nice, although there was issues, shower would not drained and flooded room, aircon kept leaking and stains on the bedding which was changed.
Good location for walking into town and enough bars/restaurants and shops a short walk away.

Rooms could be a little more modern yes but it was spacious, clean and adequate.
We stayed in 532 and we were not disturbed by other guests or outside noise.
The beds were a little firm but we were ok with that. The food is exactly what you would expect from all inclusive and yes, some of it is aimed at other nationalities. If you want only English food go to Blackpool. Ultimately we always had plenty to eat. If you want a quieter experience go and eat at the pool restaurant and not during peak time. If you go to eat early enough it won’t be busy anywhere. The staff are a good mix of very friendly and just there to do a job nobody was rude or disrespectful. The pool area does get busy after breakfast but if you’ve travelled here to sit in your hotel all week you’ve missed a trick as there are so many places to visit in Kos. My advice is get a mode of transport, grab your beach shoes and explore the island

It started when we arrived, the guy at the reception was already incredibly slow. There was only one person working while an entire bus of people arrived all wanting to get access to their room. After about 20 minutes waiting second in line it was our turn and even checking
It started when we arrived, the guy at the reception was already incredibly slow. There was only one person working while an entire bus of people arrived all wanting to get access to their room. After about 20 minutes waiting second in line it was our turn and even checking us in took another 10 minutes.
The rooms are clean which is nice but the elevator are small and extremely hot. At most four people can fit in but even then you’re all against each other. The beds aren’t the best quality, I found them rather hard and the pillow is barely a pillow at all.
The restaurants are incredibly busy at all times. You need to stand in line for a drink and for every single dish as well. The food doesn’t have a lot of variation but some things are tasty.
We have All Inclusive but is it All Inclusive if you have to pay for a beach bed if you want to lay on one. If you want to lay at the swimming pool you’d have to sit there from 7 in the morning or else there’s nowhere to lay. There’s a beach bar but that also isn’t included in the ‘All Inclusive’ so you’d need to walk from the beach to the pool bar, which isn’t all too far it’s just strange that it costs money there.
When you want to get drinks at the bar for your friends or family be prepared to walk at least twice. In our case we were with four and one of us went to get drinks for all of us but this wasn’t allowed. We were told we could only get two drinks at a time which meant we’d have to order two drinks, get back in line and get the other two drinks which is ridiculous sinde these waiting lines are at least 5 minutes long at all times.
The only good thing of the resort is the cats. If you’re a cat lover I’d definitely recommend going cause there’s cats absolutely everywhere. In the Main Restaurant staff even gives them food and even gives you food to feed them which is adorable. The cats are very social and friendly, one even got on my lap.
It’s a decent resort if you’re willing to pay money every day on top of the huge amount of money you pay to stay here.

The hotel is very very nice, people say it’s “outdated” however not too sure what they mean, if you’ve been abroad before it is like every 4 star hotel you’ve booked.

There are 2 “adult” pools and one small one for babies which we didn’t expedt so it was a nice suprise they were big pools. The bar staff work very hard all day and can’t fault them. Never qued for longer than 2 minutes.
There were always sunbeds available up until around 9:20. staff removed towels if people tried to reserve them at around 9am which is helpful.
The food was nice and plenty of options however sometimes the foreigners acted like foreigners there is little English there however isn’t that what you expect on a holiday?
The double beds are 2 single mattress which is abit frustrating but not the end of the world.
The entertainment team have darts, waterpolo, aqua arobics throughout the day. Mini disco 8:30 every day for the kids and then dancers/ singers on nights and a DJ on a Saturday.
Over all quite impressed and very little to fault!
