Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Cambodia's capital makes for the last stop on your exciting tour. Phnom Penh is home to all sorts of historical sites, both famous and infamous but all of which worth experiencing. The Killing Fields are perhaps the most evocative, shining a light on a very dark page of modern history. For a less sombre outing, The National Museum houses artefacts that go all the way back to ancient times and is perfect for getting an understanding of Cambodian culture. You’ll no doubt be impressed by the building’s striking architecture; luckily there’s plenty more where that came from! The Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, and Wat Phnom are all stunning and well worth a visit. While you’re out and about, make sure to check out The Russian Market for its eclectic range of crafts, spices, and trinkets. At the end of a long day, what could be better than a romantic boat cruise along the Mekong River?
