With crystal-clear coves, sun-scorched stone villages, and the most famous beach in the country, Brač Island delivers postcard-perfect views at every turn. Lonely Planet even calls it Croatia's "ultimate island escape". It's rare to find deals in such a popular destination, so our eyes lit up when we saw this week-long holiday with meals at 48% less than the regular price.
Labranda Velaris Resort is in a secluded spot right by the seafront, near the pretty port of Supetar. It is surrounded by sweeping forests of pine, and has its own pebble beach in a photogenic cove.
During your stay, you're sure to fall into step with the relaxed pace of life on the island. The hotel is set within one of the most lush gardens on the island, with more than 16,000 Mediterranean plants, and fruits and vegetables are grown on site for use in the restaurant.
The port of Supetar is around 15 minutes' walk from the hotel, and you can spend a day wandering the cobbled squares, enjoying ice creams in the golden old town, or sitting in the shade of the palm trees on the promenade. There are several beaches that extend from the town centre, and it is easy to find a quiet stretch of sand for yourself.
Supetar is also the island's main transport hub, so you can catch cheap ferries to explore Split and other Croatian islands. We also recommend travelling to Bol, on the southern coast of Brač—its here you'll find the famous pointed beach, Zlatni rat.
