The staff were the best part of our stay. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and always smiling. Nothing was a problem for them. From check-in with Bao and Lily (we requested a room change after checking in), no problem. The vibe of movenpick was always great. The location is ok, on a nice stretch of beach, but everything in Phu Quoc requires driving. On checkout, we got a free shuttle service to the airport and an amazing take-away breakfast, which exceeded our expectations. Thanks Hung for organising that, and thanks Phuong for a smooth checkout. I'd definitely stay at movenpick again.

What An amazing experience my wife and I had eating here at Altitude 8 Restaurant. Annie, Tuong, Anh and Mint are so dedicated and professional and welcoming, amazing staff they go the extra mile to make your experience even better. Keep up the good work guys. Hopefully will be back to eat again The Sea Bass dish which I highly recommend. Thank you once again

Below Expectations for a Mövenpick Resort

My stay at Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc was unfortunately far below the standards I expected from an international luxury resort.The disappointment started at check-in when neither I nor my family were offered the welcome drink that is a hallmark of the Mövenpick experience. While seemingly a small gesture, it sets the tone for a guest’s arrival and its absence was noticeable.The more serious issue was the condition of our room. We found an insect inside the room and multiple spider webs in different areas, indicating a lack of proper housekeeping and attention to detail. Photographs were taken and shared with the hotel. For a resort of this category, such conditions are simply unacceptable.What was even more disappointing was the response. As a goodwill gesture, I was offered a 15-minute massage voucher, which I found to be of little practical value. A 15-minute massage does not constitute a meaningful spa experience and did not adequately address the concerns raised. I therefore returned the voucher.The property itself is attractive, and the location is excellent, but a beautiful resort alone cannot compensate for poor housekeeping standards and an underwhelming guest experience. Cleanliness, maintenance, and guest care are fundamental expectations, especially when paying premium rates.I hope the management takes these issues seriously and implements corrective measures. If such experiences are repeatedly reflected in guest reviews, they could adversely affect the reputation of what otherwise has the potential to be a very good resort.Based on my experience, I cannot currently recommend this property to travelers seeking the level of service and cleanliness normally associated with the Mövenpick brand.
