Horrible. They charge FALSE vaping fees

    rating19 Jun 2026

Horrible horrible experience. I never leave reviews, but being basically called a liar from the front office manager has me steaming. We have been staying here consistently for the last 2/3 years any time we come to DC. We decided to stay here again for my birthday for a couple of days. Yesterday at around 9 pm when we returned from dinner, we had security banging on our door saying that we were smoking/vaping in the room. (Neither of us vape) we invited security in and told him if he wanted to check and he declined. We went up to the front desk to clear up the issue. They told us to speak to a manager in the morning. We went to the front desk again this morning to resolve the issue and let them know about what happened. We spoke with Alex Maldonado, the front office manager and he couldn’t have handled it any more poorly. We informed him that neither of us vape and that the smoke sensors were giving a false report. He told me “yeah everyone tries to say that.” He stated that the sensors do pick up aerosol sprays, flat irons, etc. I let him know that I did use a hot hair dryer curler that’s meant to do blow outs for hair for a while while getting ready for breakfast, and that that could’ve been the issue (it has set the smoke detector off in my house before) I tried explaining that to him and we basically had a conversation that summed up to me being a liar. Now they want us to pay a $250 or something fee for something THAT WE DID NOT DO. Being labeled a liar on top of that has made my blood boil. Do not do not come here. They want to charge you bogus vaping fees and the manager is absolutely no help. We’ll continue to dispute the charge, but had to warn everyone. This used to always be our choice of hotel whenever we’re in DC and we used to recommend it to everyone, now we’ve got to circle back to everybody and let them know to never choose this hotel. We will never come back. Thanks Cambria DC for ruining my birthday.

Quaint and modern interior designed boutique hotel

    rating08 Aug 2025

It was a nice visit. Not a “luxury” hotel but it did give off modern boutique hotel vibes. I would have loved it if it had a pool but all in all it was a pleasant stay. My son got sick the last night there and Phil at the front desk was so so helpful in providing me all I needed at 12 AM to boot. Thank you Phil for all your help. :)The front desk staff was professional and friendly. Despite some scary bit of reviews I saw online. I felt safe at the hotel with my children the entire stay.

Great for Nats Games, but AC and Parking Have Issues

    rating04 Jul 2025

Stayed at the Cambria Hotel while in DC for a Nationals game. The location is its biggest strength—just steps from Nationals Park and within easy walking distance of all the bars and restaurants in the Navy Yard. Perfect if you're in town for a game or just want to be in the middle of the action. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable, and the staff was attentive and responsive. However, the air conditioning was a real concern. One of our rooms was set to 68°F but never dropped below 76°F. To their credit, the hotel addressed the issue and got it fixed, but it was still a hassle. The AC in the second room worked, but it struggled to keep up at times.Parking is another downside. There are no nearby public garages, so you’re pretty much locked into using the hotel’s valet service. It’s secure and allows in-and-out access, but it’ll cost you around $60 a night.Overall, it’s a solid hotel for a Nationals game or a night out in the Navy Yard. Just be prepared for possible AC issues and expensive parking.

    Baseball Stadium is Close!

    rating19 Jun 2025

We stayed here for one night to attend a baseball game. The hotel is in a great location right across the street from Nationals Stadium and we got a great price compared to other very expensive hotels in the area. Staff was friendly. Rooms were not as clean as I would like. Some hairs on the comforter and flood was not very clean. Everything else with the stay was nice. King beds do not include pull out sofa for those with kids.

    Nice hotel

    rating13 Jun 2025

We enjoyed this hotel. We read some spooky reviews afterwards, but our personal experience was great. We were traveling as two women from out of town, and we felt safe the entire time. We enjoyed the sitting area in our room. The beds were comfy and the room seemed clean. They even let us check in early when our flight arrived earlier than their check in time, and we worked out a free way to check out late by using their rewards system. Every employee we encountered was polite and helpful.
