Serves its purpose as an airport hotel

This hotel was fine - it served its purpose as a hotel to sleep at before an early flight. It's pretty standard - a little aged, nothing fancy. Check-in was fine for us when we got in, but when I went back out to the car a few minutes later, the airport shuttle had just dropped off and there was a very long line to check in. I also didn't love that there was a $35 fee to park overnight. It was nice to be able to just drop the keys off at the parking lot gate when checking out.

Price, proximity to SFO, and great restaurant

Situated 10 minutes north of the airport, this hotel served its purpose of giving us a clean room, comfortable bed, and great restaurant we could use to catch our 6am flight out the next morning. Unlike the SFO hotels in Burlingame lining the Bay this one is situated in an industrial area, so it wasn't conducive to going out for an evening walk. Offsetting that was the restaurant found in the lobby. This is no industrial eatery! The dinner menu was fun, the food beautifully presented and flavorful, and the server friendly. The one caution is that the shuttle does not run 24 hours. As we had the early morning flight, we had to Uber to the airport. We chose this hotel for price and proximity and were not disappointed.

Nice hotel with a shuttle to and from the airport. Really nice staff. Walls are very thin. We could hear everything happening in the hallway, next room, outside etc.

Very disappointing experience

My husband and I did a park and fly stay at this hotel. The first night stay was great and the shuttle service took us to the airport early the next morning. When we returned 10 days later it was a different story. We had to wait a long time to check in as the lobby was full of airline employees all checking in. The hotel staff ignored us, didn’t apologize for the long wait and didn’t say they’d be with us as soon as they could. They seemed disorganized in handling the situation. We were given a much less desirable room than the first time where the airplane noise was extremely overwhelming. The bathtub faucet dripped constantly, however the manager said he didn’t care about the drip but would send an engineer to fix it only for our convenience. He refused to give us a different room because we had touched things in it and he’d have to have it cleaned. We were very disappointed in being treated with a lack of respect and won’t stay here again.

Hotel looks nice but is obviously dated. Front desk confirmed it's more than 30 years old. Rooms look a little old and carry the smell of age but the main thing to note is that the soundproofing is almost non-existent. I've stayed in multiple airport hotels with views of the tarmac and I've never experienced the volume of noise like at Doubletree. It would come rushing in as a plane took off. I'd been in transit for 3 days and on multiple planes, so arriving to this at 11pm at night made me want to cry. Front desk were unhelpful, telling me that every room will have the same issue.
