Joe and his entire staff has made our week stay enjoyable in every way. From the front guest experience, breakfast bar, to restaurant and local attraction recommendations. A Rocky Check‑In That Turned Into a Wonderful Stay

We arrived at The Row NYC after two days of travelling, finally getting there at 1am, only to find that the room we had booked via a 3rd party booking agent with two beds for myself and my Daughter wasn’t available. The first room we were given was completely unsuitable — a very small room on a high floor, with a small bed, a low ceiling, a claustrophobic feel, and a strong smell of something like joss sticks. Not what you want at 1am after a long journey.I went back to the front desk and was directed to the overnight duty manager, who was absolutely lovely. She immediately understood the situation and moved us to a Premium King City View room, which we ended up loving. The room was large, the bed incredibly comfortable, the view fantastic, and it even had a proper desk — perfect for organising our plans and giving us a bit more usable space.This was a four‑night stay, and between our arrival and the next morning I spoke to four different staff members (two overnight and two the following day), but none were able to provide the two‑bed room we had originally booked. Eventually, I gave up trying to sort it out — I didn’t want to spend any more of our holiday standing at the front desk — and we decided to just enjoy the room we’d been given.The hotel manager Joe did everything he could to make up for the inconvenience: he gave us free breakfast for all four days, and at checkout staff waived both the hotel and city fees, which we really appreciated.The hotel’s cocktail hour was a highlight. My 10‑year‑old loved having her complimentary alcohol‑free cocktail, and my favourite was the Daily Roast. The location is also excellent — just one block behind Times Square, so you’re right in the heart of everything.Despite the shaky start, the staff were great throughout, and the room we ended up in was wonderful. I’d definitely book directly with Row NYC in future and highly recommend the Premium King City View room with breakfast option. This hotel has a great location but is not adequate for business travelers. I am in the city monthly for work and wanted to try a new hotel in a good location. The rooms don’t have anything in them except a bed. No work space. I asked if I could get a room with a desk and they could not find one. I had to try and work on the bed which is not great. The bathroom has a terrible smell which builds up overnight. Something in the plumbing is not done correctly. The shower is low pressure. There isn’t a coffee maker or refrigerator in the room. My company made the reservation through our travel agency as usual but for some reason that made checking in a challenge. It took 45 minutes to check in and I had to return to the front desk once. If you are in NYC for fun, this hotel is in an unbeatable location in the heart of the theater district. If you are traveling for business, this is not the best choice. I had a problem with a package and Joe the manager went out of his way to help me and made sure I received my package at the front desk on time. He was extremely helpful and super nice. The Hotel is beautiful and the staff are super nice and willing to help with whatever is needed. The Row, best new hotel in NYC

The minute we walked in the door we were greeted by friendly, informative staff. Cathy at the front desk was extremely helpful. The hotel is tastefully decorated and comfortable. Our room is small but has all the essentials, plus. Percy's is a great little bar with a free drink for guests. Best lemon drop martini. Joe the manager stopped at our table to greet and chat. Very nice and truly wants a successful hotel. I highly recommend The Row. I'll be back.
