Esme hotel Miami Beach: not the best experience

We spent 5 days at Esme Hotel Miami Beach .Hotel is well located and staff is very kind .But room was very small and we had to move to another (upgraded) room because the airco was not working ( yes this can always happen ) . In our first room , I guess they have never cleaned the window (street view) and when we took a shower lot of water entered the bathroom due to crack in the shower . The swimming pool ( very small, not suitable for swimming) was in another building, so we always had to cross the street . Ok, these are not the worst things in life , but what was really not good was the breakfast . We booked including breakfast but you can hardly call it a breakfast . A very limited menu (photo) , no fruit , no juice, no yogurt , we had to pay for a 2 nd coffee. On top, the price of the breakfast (when we booked as included) was double of the price that we would pay on the spot... A beautiful paradise in the heart of Miami Beach

We had a fantastic four night stay at The Esme. The hotel has a great atmosphere, the decor is beautiful. We loved the stylish details and the many areas to sit and soak it all in. We were situated at the back of the building complex, our room was quiet, even on a busy Saturday night! The room was lovely, the only thing we found that we could have done with a bit more storage space - a console under the TV would be a great addition to gain extra storage and surface space. From our room we had a lovely view onto Española Way. The beds were super comfortable, and the sheets soft and luxurious. The location of the hotel is perfect, great for exploring all that South Beach has to offer. The vibe of the hotel is great, it feels like its own little world once you are inside the courtyards. We enjoyed take out breakfasts from the Sunshine Cafe in the courtyards, and loved chilled nights on the rooftop drinking cocktails. This was the perfect choice for our Miami trip. From the moment we stepped through the door we were treated like VIP’s. The reception staff were amazing and very understanding of my needs as a wheelchair user. Sophie and Chris went above and beyond to help us. Although our room was too small for a wheelchair user, they recognised this and moved us to a bigger room. The rooftop is an absolute must, the pool is perfect just like the staff. I highly recommend the Pina Colada. The hotels location is perfect, situated on espanal way and only a few minutes walk to the beach. I had a wonderful stay at Esmé Hotel Miami Beach. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, thoughtfully designed, full of character, and perfectly situated for exploring Miami.What stood out most was the exceptional customer service.
