Comfortable, standard hotel room!

Looked like more of a “standard” room than I was expecting, but still a nice, comfortable stay. They told us we had 2 waters in our room because I was a silver Hilton member, but they weren’t there. The water they had in their lobby with cucumbers and oranges was delicious, but we got the very last glass, unfortunately! (We got there pretty late). There was a little cut out closet with shelves that came in very handy. Bathroom was a standard hotel bathroom. Ok stay, but would choose a little more of an upscale place next time.

After twenty years as a loyal Hilton guest, I find myself writing my first negative review of the brand — and, I expect, my last review of any Hilton property.Check-in took several hours. I will not speculate as to the cause, as none was offered. The staff were not discourteous; they were simply indifferent, which in some respects is worse. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the delay, and no apparent awareness that a guest's time has value.I had a comparable experience at a Hilton property in London last year and attributed it to an isolated incident. I no longer hold that view.For guests to whom efficient operations and basic attentiveness matter, I would suggest exploring alternatives. There are many well-run hotels at lower price points that appear to take hospitality seriously. There is little justification for paying a premium for the Hilton name if the experience delivered is indistinguishable from a budget property, or, on a bad day, somewhat worse.I do not write this in anger. I write it as a straightforward account of what occurred, in the hope that it is useful to prospective guests.

This is a very nice hotel, near the LoDo Union Station area. The best part of the visit here was Jolie who so courteously and compassionately helped us work through a snafu with another hotel and got us booked here. She was so pleasant to work with! Thank you Jolie! You are a service SUPERSTAR who definitely puts the customer first!

Hilton Garden Inn Denver Union Station was AMAZING! Such a great looking property and location. Just a few minute walk to the light rail system made it easy to get anywhere in the metro area. The location was close to dozens of delicious restaurants. If we couldn’t walk somewhere, an Uber or Lyft was easy to get. I cannot get over the shower though! By far the best shower I have had…ever! Big rain shower head, lots of pressure and quick hot water. Rooms were modern, well appointed and beds extra comfortable. I can’t forget to mention the staff. They were always pleasant, smiling and engaging. They had a lot of knowledge about the area and definitely added some awesome stops in our itinerary. Thanks HGI team for a perfect stay! I cannot wait to come back soon! Oh P.S. - it is right next to Coors Field and McGregor Square so we will definitely be back during baseball season!

Nice sized room and friendly staff, and nice to have outlets and usb on either side of the bed, but the shower head was clogged and sprayed water everywhere, and when we mopped it up, we found the bath floor was filthy. The clock didn't work. That it was close to the train station was its best feature.
