    DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

    rating04 Apr 2026

Never even made it to the hotel because everything from the moment we booked was terrible. We booked through Expedia, which I also do NOT recommend doing. After booking, we called to confirm the reservation with the hotel, which they did not have. We were told to call back later. After calling again, we were told there was still no reservation, and to contact Expedia. We attempted to contact the hotel multiple times after, and there was no answer and no returned phone calls. Expedia had issues themselves contacting the hotel. Per Expedia, the hotel refused to give us a refund even though they had no reservation. This hotel is a scam!

    Hidden fees galore

    rating21 Feb 2026

Scamming customers with fees that are not shown when purchased through a third party. This is all they do to make money they are rated so badly for a reason. The Chicago Hotel Collection Marketing, Owner at The Chicago Hotel Collection Wrigleyville, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your concerns. We want to be very clear that we do not hide or add undisclosed fees. All mandatory fees and any optional packages are disclosed prior to final confirmation of a reservation. However, when bookings are made through third-party platforms, the way charges are displayed can vary depending on the site’s layout and filters selected during the booking process. We understand how frustrating unexpected charges can feel, and that is never our intention. We encourage all guests to carefully review the full rate breakdown on the final checkout screen before confirming any reservation. If you would like us to review your specific booking in detail, please contact our management team directly at management@thechicagohotelcollection.com so we can look into it further. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify.

TLDR: Definitely skip this hotel. There are so many better choices for the price

    rating16 Feb 2026

Pros: -Its beautifully designed. There was definitely a lot of attention and detail that went into making this feel very connected to Wrigleyfield which was a lot of fun. I loved seeing how they integrated the baseball experience into the floor and room designs. Super cool. - Its also located in a great area of Chicago if you're interested in that. Cons: -I booked via a 3rd party booking site which didn't list any mention of addtional fees. The room was booked for $300 for the night. Not too bad. Much to my surprise when I checked in there were over $200 in additional amenity fees added with no way to opt out. Plus a $125 deposit. If I had known it was going to cost me over $500 for a room for one night, I can guarantee you I would have booked a much much nicer hotel. The only thing I was aware of that I received for my "amenities" fee was a beer tickets for the bar next door-Our room was on the second floor right above the entrance. There is no sound proofing on the windows. I could hear EVERYTHING at street level. I was there on a saturday night and could hear every drunk person all night long. It might be better on higher floors so just make sure to ask for something higher than the second floor-Speaking of sound proofing, there isn't any inside either. It was clearly a popular night in our hotel. People were having fun on our floor which is great, but I could hear everything happening in the hallway, doors opening and slamming closed. It eventually calmed down around 1am. -there is almost no on-site staff other than the cleaning folks. If you are paying $500 for the night you mgiht expect that there would be people around to assist you. Sadly no. There's also no refrigerator or mini cooler in your room either which blows me away for the price. -I booked a king bedroom, and while the mattress itself was ok, it came with 4 standard pillows instead of king. Look this wouldn't have been a big deal normally, but after all the other things that were frustrating about this property, this just felt like the icing on the cake. I'm so glad I won't booked this for one night and definitely would not stay here again. The Chicago Hotel Collection Marketing, Owner at The Chicago Hotel Collection Wrigleyville, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We truly appreciate you highlighting both the positives and the areas where we fell short of your expectations. We’re glad you enjoyed the design of the property and how it reflects the spirit of Wrigley Field. Our Chicago Hotel Collection - Wrigleyville location was intentionally created to immerse guests in that neighborhood’s energy and character, so it’s great to hear that aspect stood out to you.Regarding fees, we want to clarify that all mandatory fees and any included packages are disclosed prior to final confirmation. However, third-party booking platforms sometimes separate or display charges differently, which can understandably cause frustration. We always encourage guests to review the final checkout breakdown carefully before completing a reservation. The security deposit is a standard temporary hold and is released after checkout per policy. As for noise, being steps from Wrigleyville’s nightlife means the area can be lively — especially on weekends. We do recommend higher floors for guests who prefer a quieter stay, and we’re continuing to evaluate improvements that enhance overall comfort. Our Wrigleyville property operates with a modern, contactless model, which is disclosed prior to booking. While we do not have a traditional 24-hour front desk onsite, our virtual guest services team is available to assist guests throughout their stay. We’re sorry the overall experience did not align with the value you expected. Your feedback is important, and we will continue refining the guest experience at this location.

Scam! Deceptive advertising. Do not stay here

    rating16 Jan 2026

This is a SCAM! They advertised a low room rate via booking services and Google Maps and failed to disclose that there was a mandatory amenities package, plus additional junk fees and taxes. My final bill was over 4 times the advertised room rate. They tried to blame this on the third-party booking service I used, but they should not list with such services if that is the case. The amenity package itself is grossly overpriced. Many of the items were discounts that required additional purchases. I used none of it, not even the coffee, but still was charged for all of it.The check-in is self-service, so they are skimping on labor but not passing the savings along to customers. They could have sent me the check-in link ahead of time so that I could have either resolved the billing dispute or canceled, but I had to deal with it upon arrival. Security is lax at entry.Location, cleanliness, noise level, and atmosphere were ok. The Chicago Hotel Collection Marketing, Owner at The Chicago Hotel Collection Wrigleyville, responded to this review Thank you for your feedback. We strongly disagree with the characterization of our hotel as a scam or engaging in deceptive advertising. All mandatory fees, including the amenities package, along with applicable taxes, are clearly disclosed on our website, on Google, and on all contracted third-party booking platforms prior to confirmation. There are no hidden or “junk” fees, and the total cost of a stay is presented before a reservation is finalized.Third-party booking platforms are responsible for displaying the full rate breakdown to guests at the time of booking. We encourage all guests to review the booking details carefully before confirming a reservation. Our self-service check-in model is intentional and clearly communicated in advance, and many guests value the convenience and efficiency it provides. Security measures are in place and continuously monitored to ensure guest safety. While we’re glad you found the location, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere satisfactory, we stand by our pricing transparency and business practices.
