    This hotel is in a lovely area. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Note: everything was closed by midnight. The hotel itself is very jaded and in need of modernising. There is no lift and no AC so very uncomfortable in hot weather. Carpets in hallways needed to be cleaned. Room very small. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was very good. Would I stay here again? Sadly no

    We stayed there as we were meeting friends for a birthday celebration in Blackheath village. The room had lovely views over the heath. The room was clean and comfortable. All staff were friendly and helpful. Just one little problem , lift only went to 2nd floor and we were on the 3rd floor so had to climb a steep staircase but it didn't spoil our stay. We would definitely stay again. Although informed the hotel has been sold and may close such a shame.     Great venue for an event - especially in the garden!

    We held a birthday party in the garden of the Clarendon this May, using the marquee that they put up in the summer months. We cannot thank the Clarendon enough for all their help in organising this event - the staff, especially events manager Julie, were incredibly helpful and accommodated all of our needs as there were young children attending. On the day the staff were highly attentive and everything went smoothly. The garden is a beautiful space and staff are happy for you to put up decorations so the marquee looked fantastic on the day. We were lucky enough to have great weather but the venue offered us an alternative space in the case of rain, which was really reassuring.We would highly recommend the Clarendon for an event!
