AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL… Had to leave after being there for 30mins and get a new hotel! We were not sleeping there! Rather sleep on the streets find better company compared to the staff who are rude and just don’t care!

I booked a 3 bed room for 1 night for my friends birthday, got an absolutely catfished by this hotel ! I am not picky when it comes to hotel rooms, but this was not great. The room was just about clean enough to rest our heads for the night but we were given the room in the “basement” and when I opened the blinds we were facing the wall of the front entrance. Was not impressed with this hotel and was disgusted by the false advertisement.

If I could I would give it no stars. Absolutely awful hotel. Downstairs looks promising and that's where it ends. A really shabby room, no curtains, just slatted blinds, tiny bathroom you can just about walk in and to top it off a bar is below playing music from 10am until early morning. Only managed to get to sleep by putting my headphones on. To top it off if you want a full English breakfast don't get your hopes up. The sausages are not even sausages. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Bedbugs!!! - hotel confirmed, but refused refund

We had booked a 5-night stay at 1 Lexham Gardens Hotel from August 22–27, 2025. Just two hours after checking in, we discovered live bedbugs crawling on the bed. We immediately documented everything with photos and videos and went to the front desk to report the issue.The receptionist took one look and confirmed it was indeed bedbugs, apologized, and told us we would receive a full refund. We were not offered another room or any kind of alternative. Instead, we were told to contact Booking.com to arrange the refund.We had to pack up and leave the hotel that same evening, and we ended up paying nearly 12,000 NOK (~$1,100) for another hotel at short notice.Weeks later, Booking.com still cannot issue the refund because the hotel has stopped responding to all communication, despite the promise made by their own staff. So far, we’ve only been offered a £47 voucher from Booking.com – which is outrageous given the circumstances.This was a completely unacceptable experience, both in terms of hygiene and customer service. I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel, and I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

Bad, dirty room. Very shabby lots bugs. Bitten badly everywhere. Some staff just plain rude. Advise you to avoid , nothing at all like the pictures shon on the website or booking.com
