This resort is situated on a hillside with panoramic views of the sandy Nopparat Thara Beach and the National Park, only a short walk from the crystal waters of the Andaman Sea. Guests will find restaurants, bars, nightspots and the beach all within 200 m of the hotel. It is a 20-minute drive to Krabi town, 25 minutes' drive to the Tiger Cave and an hour's drive to the emerald pool and the hot spring. Krabi International Airport is 30 km away.

Guests have a choice of 65 rooms. The reception desk in the lobby is staffed round the clock. The resort provides a baggage storage service, a safe, room service, a laundry service, a conference room and a projector. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Other services include a hotel shuttle bus.

Unlike most hotels worldwide, Anyavee Aonang Bay Resort fails at basic hospitality. No toothbrush, toothpaste, or slippers are provided, which feels absurd for a so-called resort. Coffee is rationed like a luxury item, just one sachet per person, no refills. Hygiene standards are questionable, and overall the experience feels careless and stingy rather than relaxing. Definitely not worth the expectations.

Lovely hotel but shockingly unprofessional management

The hotel itself is very nice and well located. The pool area is beautiful and spacious, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The room was large and comfortable, although a bit warm at times.Overall, our stay was pleasant — until the day of departure.Since our flight was late in the evening, we asked at reception in the morning if there was a place where we could shower before leaving. We were told yes, and that towels and a hairdryer would be provided. Based on that information, we organized our last day to enjoy the beach before heading to the airport.When we returned and asked for the towels, we were suddenly told they “didn’t have enough.” They handed us only two towels for six people. When I politely asked for more, I was told no.I explained that their morning colleague had confirmed the service, and as someone who works as a Front Office Manager myself, I know perfectly well that you can simply call housekeeping to arrange extra towels.A manager then intervened, made a phone call, and miraculously found two more towels. When I pointed out that we were six people and that sharing towels was not hygienic, she rudely and aggressively replied, “We’ve run out of towels!”If they already knew towels were not available, they should have informed us in the morning so we could have planned our day differently. The issue is not the towels, but the complete lack of professionalism and basic courtesy.When I calmly insisted, the manager told me she wouldn’t do anything else because I had “raised my voice.” Considering the circumstances and the misinformation provided by their own staff, my frustration was completely justified.To make things worse, she even threatened to report me as a “bad guest” — something absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional, and disrespectful, especially given that they were clearly in the wrong.This kind of attitude shows a total lack of hospitality training and customer care. Being welcoming, respectful, and solution-oriented is fundamental in this line of work, something the manager in question clearly hasn’t understood.Congratulations to that rude lady on such unprofessional behavior, perhaps next time she’d like to take a few lessons in hospitality manners from someone who actually knows how to manage guests properly.

Great location, beautiful grounds, and friendly service

Super friendly staff and very good value for money. Let’s start with the minor downsides: the towels and bedsheets had some stains, which might worry some guests, though we believed they were clean and simply had permanent marks in the fabric. The bathroom in our superior triple room was also poorly designed—the tap was placed in the corner, making it difficult to wash hands, and the water pressure was so strong that it sprayed everywhere unless opened very carefully. We also kept stubbing our toes in the bathroom.Now for the positives. First, the service was incredibly friendly. Second, the pool area and the hotel’s garden were beautiful and very well maintained, big thumbs up for that. The loungers were a bit uncomfortable but still functional. Third, the breakfast was really good, with a nice selection and great taste. The location was also superb, and the overall look and style of the hotel were really appealing.Overall, the hotel is doing many things right and I would recommend it for people looking for a comfortable base with a nice pool area for Ao Nang exploring.

The hotel is very tiered. The pools dirty the barriers round the pool are falling apart. Breakfast was a joke don't both waste your money. The deluxe rooms need a complete overhaul. I asked several times on my 4 week stay for things to improve, but it fell on def ears

Avoid disappointment and do not book here. It is way overpriced. The rooms are in poor condition. You have to hold the shower head to take a shower- makes it difficult to shower with one hand. Broken plates are used to serve breakfast. One of our towels had stains on it- fair enough, it was a clean towel, but it’s not something I would expect at this price point. I had higher expectations for sure.
