    Great hotel on the beach!

    My husband I stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. The staff is so warm and friendly and so very helpful! A full breakfast is included and you just walk right next door and find a seat in the beautiful indoor/outdoor restaurant. The room is a little small but we had full beach access right outside our balcony. Our room came with a net we could lay on so we didn’t get sandy feet! How cool is that!?! We asked about a snorkel tour and were immediately hooked up with a long boat for the next morning. Our captain took us around the whole island and we stopped at amazing places to snorkel. Japanese Gardens was the best spot! We had dinner at the restaurant here too - great food! And as mentioned all of the staff and servers were so incredibly nice! Koh Tao is more geared to the younger visitor but as older (60’s) adults we never felt unwelcome and my husband even did a dive via the Scuba Shack! Koh Tao is very fun, has a young vibe - love it! Blue Tao Hotel is right in the middle of all the action at Sairee beach. Watch out for the scooters!!

    Our stay at the Blue Tao Hotel was fantastic. The hotel is located right on the beach, where you can jump right into the water in the morning and watch the spectacular sunset in the evening.The rooms are equipped with everything you need; breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant with a stunning sea view; we have a choice of seven dishes, all beautifully presented and very tasty.The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel driver was also very kind and helpful. The hotel also offers SUP and snorkeling equipment (free of charge).We spent four nights there, and if we were to come to Koh Tao again, we would definitely choose the Blue Tao Hotel.

    A mixed bag

    This hotel was so so. Communications were seamless, they sent a driver to pick me up and check in was a breeze. So far, so good.However, the housekeeper never replenished the toilet paper, which obviously isn't ideal. And on one of the two days I was there, the staff forgot to place my breakfast order even though there was only one other customer at the restaurant, so I ended up going diving without breakfast. In their defense, the staff gave me a croissant for the road, which was nice, but that still doesn't excuse them completely dropping the ball.Location is good, in the heart of Sairee and right on the beach. Room is on the smaller side. Shower struggles to produce hot water. Breakfast when served, is mediocre.The mishaps are a shame, as this place has potential.

    We stayed as a group in Blue Tao beach hotel for a few nights. Half the group had the city view rooms, while I upgraded to a room with the net over the beach. Upgrading was really worth the additional cost, as it was very enjoyable to sit out on the net so close to the sea. The hotel is in an excellent location, right in the centre of all the action. While I've noted some reviews complaining about noise, I did not find that we were bothered at all. If you're staying in the centre of Koh Tao you're always going to experience some noise due to the late bars in the area, and the hotel provides ear plugs in case this bothers you. There a lots of small shops, cafes/restaurants, a 7 Eleven and more within a few minutes' walking distance, and it's only about a 10 minute walk into to the centre of Koh Tao. As we weren't keen to use mopeds, the location was perfect. The bed was comfy, room was very clean and air conditioning was very effective. The on-site restaurant was very good and had nice varied menu options - we would really recommend. In addition, its location right beside the beach was a beautiful place to sit and we particularly enjoyed having breakfast there every morning. Overall I felt like it was great value for money and would recommend!

    Fantastic little hotel right on Sairee Beach. Perfectly located for bars, restaurants and shops on walking street. Hotel organised complimentary ferry pick up and drop offs which wormed brilliantly. We mainly dealt with Suzy who was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We had the Hotel.breakfast at the restaurant next which was very good and the service in there was also excellent. Lovely day bed on the balcony giving fantastic view of the sunset/beach. Only downside is bathroom is very small and bar next door can be a bit noisy if your an early sleeper. We used Hello bar down walking street which was excellent and Tik Thai for food which was very tasty and reasonably priced. Hired scooter from KP again just down walking street who were also very good. Overall a brilliant little stay.
