    “The hotel is nice, clean, and conveniently located close to all amenities. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay pleasant overall. However, upon checking out, I overheard one of the housekeepers say in Thai, ‘They finally left!!’ — not realizing I could understand. Since the reception had approved my request for a 30-minute late checkout, the comment felt unnecessary and a bit rude. I hope the hotel can remind staff to remain professional, as it does affect the guest experience.”

    Home away from home in the "Old Bangkok"

    Royal Princess' warm and friendly staff, traditional Thai decor, large trees, and the birds that make one forget it is Bangkok, along with the atmosphere and the view from the balcony, etc., etc., make it truly feel like a home away from home. And I was pleasantly surprised to find how the Thai food at Princess Cafe is so delicious! Laap moo was superb, and the delicious plate of mango, which wasn't even on the menu.I used to stay frequently more than a decade ago when I drove by myself, but one of the reasons I couldn't choose Royal Princess during my recent visit to Bangkok was the difficulty in finding transportation to the downtown area. However, with the Grab app, that is no longer a problem. A long time ago, I heard it being said that "good hotels" are not located in a convenient area where anyone can stop by easily, but rather at places where one would have to travel for the sake of visiting the hotel.And you cannot call it a home if it is too expensive to visit!

    Decent hotel for a short stay in Bangkok, only a 10 minute taxi or tuk tuk ride from some of the main tourist sites. Very friendly staff and large room but with noisy air con. Good choice of food at breakfast and dinner although the food and drinks were overpriced. We made full use of the pool, which is definitely a plus after a morning exploring Bangkok although I’m not sure the chemicals were quite right as any white on the swimming costumes rapidly turned permanently green!     Nice Stay with Room for Improvement

    Stayed here recently and mostly enjoyed it. The room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed. The pool was excellent—definitely a highlight. Food was good, though a bit overpriced. Downsides: the air conditioner was noisy, and the hot water was unreliable. Overall, a solid stay with a few minor annoyances.
