  We had a fantastic stay at Oakwood Studios Bangkok and would happily stay here again.Every staff member we encountered was kind, welcoming, and genuinely lovely. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Housekeeping did an excellent job refreshing our room each day with great respect for our belongings, which gave us complete peace of mind, especially on our checkout day.The food was absolutely incredible. As someone with dietary requirements, it would be helpful if menu cards included symbols indicating gluten-free and dairy-free options, but the quality of the food itself was outstanding.The team also assisted with taxi bookings, making it easy to get wherever we needed to go. Their helpfulness and friendliness made our stay even more enjoyable.The location is excellent, within walking distance of the BTS Skytrain station and surrounded by multiple 7-Elevens, shopping centres, fantastic eateries, and one of Bangkok's top rooftop bars. It was also conveniently located for exploring Siam Paragon and accessing night market tours and transport.Thank you to the wonderful team at Oakwood Studios Bangkok for making our stay so enjoyable.   Title: Service Recovery Matters More Than the Issue ItselfI recently stayed at the hotel and encountered a minor issue with the room’s water tap configuration. The tap was positioned on the right-hand side rather than in the centre, which made it less convenient to use. While this may seem like a small detail, frequent travellers will understand that convenience often matters more than aesthetics.Aesthetics is one thing; convenience is luxury to some travellers. What may appear to be a design feature can become a daily inconvenience for guests who value practicality and ease of use.I approached the Front Office and explained the situation. Unfortunately, the gentleman on duty (I could not identify him as his name tag was too small to read) immediately informed me that all rooms were the same. There was little attempt to understand the concern or explore possible alternatives. His posture and demeanour gave the impression that the matter had already been dismissed before any effort was made to assist.As the saying goes, perception is reality. Whether the issue was significant or not, the perception created was one of indifference rather than hospitality. In a country often celebrated as the “Land of a Thousand Smiles,” guests naturally expect warmth, empathy, and a genuine willingness to help.After I expressed that I did not believe every room was configured identically, the staff member eventually checked and discovered that there were indeed rooms with different tap placements, including lower-floor rooms, accessible rooms, and ground-floor rooms. Had this simple check been done at the beginning, the entire interaction would have felt very different.The issue was never really about the tap. It was about the response. Guests rarely remember every facility detail, but they remember how they were treated when they sought assistance.I hope management continues to reinforce the importance of ownership, empathy, and proactive service recovery. Sometimes the difference between an average stay and a memorable one is simply a team member willing to say:“Let me check and see what I can do for you.”That small gesture often means more to a guest than the solution itself.   We are regular guests at this hotel and have never had any cause for complaint. It's particularly suitable if you're travelling with a pet. The hotel is clean and pet-friendly. The staff are kind and polite. Mr Vit is usually the first to greet us when we arrive. He even knows our dog's name! He is always happy, smiling and ready to help.
