  Health Hazard: Widespread Mold, Damp Air, and Management That Wouldn’t Help

  Do not stay here - health compromising and disappointing experience. The hotel is extremely dated and in urgent need of renovation. More concerning, however, were the cleanliness and air quality. There was visible mold in the room, along with a strong, persistent damp smell that made the environment feel unhealthy and uncomfortable. When I reported this, staff sprayed air freshener, which only temporarily masked the smell rather than addressing the root cause. I was then moved to another room, which had a very strong bleach smell - so overpowering it was difficult to stay in. As the bleach smell faded, the same damp, moldy odour became noticeable again. It quickly became clear this is not an isolated issue. You can smell the dampness as soon as you step off the escalator, it’s throughout the hotel. The use of air freshener and bleach makes it seem like the hotel is aware of the issue but attempting to mask it rather than properly fix it. Mold and damp are not just unpleasant - they pose real health risks, particularly for respiratory issues and allergies. Staying in these conditions felt unsafe. I chose to check out early. I was offered a third room, but declined as it was clear the issue is widespread throughout the hotel. Despite explaining the situation, I was told that nothing could be done due to the non-refundable rate. This response from management was extremely disappointing.   Best value for location, room size, quiet, huge rooms

  We've stayed repeatedly, i think at least 5 times when we visit Thailand.Why? Because the hotel is ideally placed, a short walk to Central World and Ratchadamri station. And the rooms are so big! We always stay in the Grand Suites that have two huge rooms and a full size and outfitted kitchen with a washer and dryer (combo). Plus microwave, some snacks (peanuts and chips and pop in the fridge. And so well built you cannot hear anyone from the hall or other rooms (and last visit we were right by the elevator...heard nothing). And they provide some laundry soap.I also love the brekky, it is one of the best of the hotels we stay in when travelling. There are separate sections for Japanese, Thai, Western, foods and a wide variety of drinks (thai iced tea on tap, guava juice, mango juice, it just goes on and one. And an egg station. The lobby has a machine open during daylight hours that makes about 25 different types of hot beverages in small cups so you can grab one and have a refreshment at anytime. I go for double hot chocolate or hot thai tea. I want this machine at home! It's a small thing, but so good.The pool is beautiful. Quiet, view of the city and the sport club nearby, surrounded by lush tropical plants, a separate area for smokers (ew, buy they are there), great if you want to do laps. And there is a beautiful spa you can get into for free with hot sauna (dry and wet) and whirlpools. Separate for men and women.The staff are fabulous and have always had great communication (we write through email and they respond as soon as they get it, usually a day after you leave a message because of the time difference, we are in canada)I've recommended this to four friends this past Songkran and other visits and they have booked, too and loved it.I have to give a shout out to our housekeeping which has always been perfectly done.   Solid Choice in Bangkok – Comfortable Stay, Large Rooms, Excellent Location

  Great location and a very price-worthy stay overall. We had two spacious, clean rooms next to each other on the top floor as requested, which was much appreciated. Six fast elevators and reliable WiFi (~70 Mbps).Rooms are simple but big, with large, comfortable beds beds. Minor downsides: full blackout not possible and some noise from the hallway.The good-sized rooftop pool is large and nicely surrounded by greenery, perfect for relaxing (in shade during the afternoon). Breakfast has a strong Asian selection, while the European options are more average; coffee is decent. Not a luxury hotel, but a solid, well-functioning choice with no major weaknesses.   Perfect for families in a great location

  Had a wonderful stay here travelling with the family. The location is very convenient near the siam area and railway stations if needed yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle being down a side street. The room is spacious with also a washer/dryer, living area and kitchenette. Large bedroom as well as large bathroom. The amenities of the hotel for guests to enjoy were fantastic for the children and adults alike. The level with games, playroom, reading area, pool, gym etc had such a great atmosphere you sometimes didn't want to leave the hotel! Definately a must stay for families and presents great value for money.
