    My recent trip to Bangkok and stayed at Citadines Sukhumvit 16 Bangkok Hotel turned out to be exactly what I needed, a perfect blend of relaxation and quiet rejuvenation. It had a warm home stay vibe that made everything feel comfortable and personal. The staffs from frond desk, housekeeping and engineering were very friendly and supportive, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. It turned out to be more of a detox and retreat trip than I expected. I enjoyed slowing down, resting, and taking a break from daily stress. Overall, it was a simple yet refreshing getaway that left me feeling relaxed and recharged.     Our 3rd or 4th time there. Always a pleasure. Very clean. Very quiet. All the staff members are very nice and helpful. Very convenient to the Skytrain and subway and to Terminal 21. A 7 Eleven just down the street and plenty of street vendors as well.     Recently renovated in 2024, Citadines 16 is now the go to accomodation for my Bangkok stays. Conveniently located close to the major BTS/MRT hub at Sukhumvit/Asok it's also next to the 24/7 Foodland supermarket and their popular restaurant.I found their 250฿ breakfast reasonably priced with eggs cooked to order, pastries, salad, fresh fruit and Asian specialties. Plus there's the free coffee maker on the ground floor where I get cappucinos before dining.Rooms include a full size closet with ample hangers, kitchenette and a small day sofa. There are huge coin operated washer and dryers on the 7th floor as well as a small gym and their refreshing roof top swimming pool.Unlike some less expensive accomodations nearby, the front desk is staffed 24/7 and unfailingly helpful. A bonus was the 2 p.m. checkout time.When booking, check their parent Ascott Star Rewards website. With a free membership prices sometimes dip below US$50 a night.     A comfortable and peaceful stay in the heat of the city.

    This was my first stay at Citadines Sukhumvit 16, I have previously stayed at the other facilities in the area. As always Citadines is extremely clean, rooms come with excellent facilities and space making it a very comfortable stay. Citadines 16 is in an excellent location - but not noisy particularly at night - being just a 5 - 10 minute walk to the underground, Sky Train and Terminal 21. The staff are always kind, helpful, courteous, accommodating and professional.
