  Nice hotel situated in the city center, close to everything. Big rooms, with balcony, quite rooms, good breakfast.

  Stay at the Astra Hotel In Vevey and you won't be disappointed.

  We stayed at The Astra Hotel in Vevey for 3 nights in July, 2025. We came on the train from the airport. I was very anxious about location because of carrying our luggage.Hotel is literally across the street from the train station and a Coop! The Astra was immaculate. Our room was very comfortable and there was no street noise. A HUGE shoutout to Nicole and McKenna at the front desk. They were professional, courteous and extremely helpful. They really saved us with directions to changing from the train to Flixbus in Lausanne. i would highly recommend this hotel!

  Very good location by the station

  Given its excellent location across the road from Vevey railway station, this hotel has a very ‘passing through’ feel to it as it appears to mainly cater for a business/commercial clientele.The rooms vary greatly in shape and size from floor to floor. Our room was spacious but rather soulless and felt more like an office. It was also rather dark and not helped by the current trend of not having a main room light but relying instead on ‘mood’ lighting around the room. The bed was large and comfortable.The bathroom was also spacious and we had both a bath and (good) shower room. There was a modern safe and tea making items as well as an expresso machine. WiFi could be a little erratic in the mornings. A tick to the hotel for providing two key cards without us asking for the second one. We were in an inside room so not disturbed by station or traffic noise. There is a noisy extractor fan located on the roof on the first floor but that only operates during working hours and nights were quiet. The breakfast offers a good choice of hot and cold food with double expressos on request. In the evening, the restaurant offers a good selection of local and international dishes and is obviously popular locally as it can fill up very early with groups as well as couples. The top floor bar wasn’t open during our stay but the ground floor bar is fine for a relaxing drink. Vevey is a busy but charming town set on Lake Geneva and served by the excellent train service. The station and this hotel are in the heart of the town. A good place to stay if working or on vacation in this wonderful region.

  Small low ceiling Attic room, dangerou shower tub

  We were in a "pretty bad" hotel room, we were not happy about it.It was almost like living in an attic, small, low slanty attic ceiling, both my husband and I had bumped our heads twice right away, and had to really watch it later at night when dark. My husband is 6"1 and he can't even get close enough to the toilet because of the low slanty attic ceiling.Also, the bathtub bottom is rounded with no security bar or mat, dangerous to stand on especially wet. The tub glass door seems like not completely installed, too short or narrow that when the insecure shower head falls, water spilled all over the floor.We had to go through 2 elevators to get to our room in 4+ floor, and the 2nd elevator looks like a service elevator, very small, room is small looked like a staff room. We are the only guest in that floor.When asked to change room, the receptionist showed like we are being difficult, so we just took it. We all pay the same price in our tour group, felt terrible to stuck in that room.   I stayed in this hotel with the group for 3 nights. Location of this hotel is great, it's near the train station, and some establishments are just a few blocks away like supermarket and some restaurants and coffee shop like Starbucks. Lake Geneva is just a few steps away and you will also see the statue of Charlie Chaplin and the Big fork. Breakfast was great, with good quality cheeses and bread. Staff are accomodating, very respectful and hospitable.But one thing i can criticize is the room. Since this is a 4 star hotel, my expectation is very high since i have to different hotels across the world. I stayed in a very small room and very outdated. Shower room is so tight and i can't barely move during shower. Toiletries are cheap. I hope they can improve on this and be at par with the international standard
