Great place to base a visit to Seoul

    rating26 Jun 2026

Stayed in this hotel while visiting Seoul. Hotel is centrally based, our room was clean modern, spacious and air conditioned. Had breakfast here twice too, the offering is reasonable as breakfast is strangely difficult to come by in Seoul. Great base to stay if you’re visiting. No complaints at all.

An Excellent Location at the Heart of Seoul

    rating06 Jun 2026

As a couple it’s our first time in Seoul. We spent 3 nights at this Hotel.Location: Best, 10/10, The hotel is at the heart of Seoul, near Myeondong shopping Area, Lotte Mall, metro stations, restaurants, patisseries, cafes, groceries, open street market, Apple Center, all kinds of shopping etc. Buses from both airports directly arrive there in less than 1 hour. Check-in & out: Easy and smooth 10/10, I advise you to pay in advance to get the keys and hotel information quickly. There are always free water and coffee near elevators and also reception area consists of a tiny grocery where you can find almost “anything”.Personnel: Overall, very kind and helpful 10/10.Room: Room (standard double room) is large enough; however, the queen bed is too small for a couple with an average European size. Slippers and other basic amenities are available. We didn’t need A/C in this season much but worked excellently. Daily cleaning was timely and excellent. WC/shower area is modern & clean. There is safe and minibar in the room. The sound isolation is good. 7/10Common spaces: 9/10, waiting hall, restaurant and bar, elevators are fineWi-Fi: 10/10Security: 10/10, reception is always available. You need your key to enter the hotel as well as use the elevatorBreakfast: 7/10.Overall hygiene: 10/10Overall: Our experience was 8,5/10 and we might consider staying in this hotel again on our future trips.

    Great location

    rating27 Apr 2026

We are a family of four (two adults and two late teens) and stayed in a Family Twin room (two queen beds) for six nights, with breakfast included for two people. The room had sufficient space for all of us and our luggage. It included an armchair, a small table, and a work desk with a chair. The beds were comfortable, although the pillows were quite soft—we ended up using two each. The bathtub design was a bit unusual, as water tended to spill over the sides when showering. There were two USB ports (one by the bedside and one at the worktable) and two power outlets, which were originally for the lamps but we used them to charge our devices. We appreciated the small welcome gift—it was a nice touch. Four bottles of water were replenished daily, and housekeeping kept the room clean throughout our stay.Breakfast was only included for two people, but since we were staying for six nights, we asked if our family of four could have breakfast every second day instead (three breakfasts total). Although reception initially said this wouldn’t be possible at check-in, the restaurant manager kindly accommodated our request. Thank you, Charles—we really appreciated being able to enjoy breakfast together as a family. The breakfast itself was great—we especially loved the fresh croffles, and the coffee was good. A slightly wider selection of Western-style hot food would have made it even better, but overall it was a very enjoyable experience. We used the laundry facility (washing machine and dryer) regularly - 3k won and there’s a change machine.Getting an Uber usually took 10 minutes or more, and pickup was at the Ibis Ambassador next door. This became frustrating on checkout day when we needed to get to Seoul Station for our train to Busan—we couldn’t get an UberXL and had to squeeze into a regular Uber with all our luggage. The location was excellent—close to eateries, shops, public transport, the cathedral, and major sightseeing spots. Next time, we might try staying in Insadong or Hongdae for a different experience.

    Bland but ok

    rating19 Apr 2026

Reception is on the 9th floor and there is very little signage to help you find it. Rooms were small but ok but a few hooks would have made it more user friendly.

    Can't beat the location

    rating14 Sept 2025

We opted for the 29m2 room which was a good size and had a great view of Seoul Tower. The shower would be a bit of a challenge for older people as it was over quite a high sided bath, however worked well. Location was fantastic with everything you could want within walking distance, and if it was too far to walk, a multitude of metro entrances were nearby. Very close to the Airport limousine stop (note the last bus appears to leave at 7.30 or 8pm). Breakfast whilst not vast, had everything you would need. Only minor grumble was the lack of irons and ironing boards in the room, instead having to use the laundry room each time ironing was needed. Staff at reception were friendly although not all were Korean so there would at times be language challenges or lack of knowledge of how to get to certain landmarks. But still, they were very nice. Overall we would definitely return.
