    Perfect location close to the beach and old town. Breakfast every morning was lovely. The hotel was very clean..couldn’t fault the cleaning staff. Staff very friendly and the pool was small with very little sun beds but still was lovely as you were right by the sea.     Let me start by saying this is not a 4 Star hotel more like a 3 Star. We had a premium room with a beach facing balcony, the room was cleaned everyday and is decent enough, however, you have to pay for the use of the safe, and to refill the coffee pods, you only get free coffee pods when you arrive. There is no iron in the room and there is no iron avaliable from reception, you have to pay for use of their laundry service, the mattress is very hard and uncomfortable.Then there's the staff, I have never in all my years visiting hotels all over the world met such grumpy and uncaring bunch of staff, they definitely need some training in hospitality, only the cleaning ladies were friendly.Then there's the breakfast which was included was certainly not 4 Star, it was the same bland and basic items each morning, with no brewed or bean coffee, but instant coffee from a machine.The pool only has minimum loungers and is only 1meter deep. The lady serving at the pool bar was not a welcoming person and did not look happy in her job.The only positive is the location it is only a couple of minutes walk from old town.There is better hotels in Albuferia that are avaliable which I have stayed at, would give this one a miss.I will not be staying here again.     What a fabulous experience we had at the Rocamar Albufeira. The hotel is modern exceptionally clean and the staff are just wonderful, nothing is a problem for them. Breakfast caters for all tastes from continental to cooked and no shortage of food either. In the afternoon it lovely to sit out front sample some cocktails in the sunshine and look at the sea stretch out in front of you. Definitely worth a visit.     Great location, staff very friendly , room cleaned everyday cleaners do a great job like all other staff in hotel enjoyed our stay room a bit on the small size with very little storage for two people just enough for one think would help taking suitcase rack away and putting a set of drawers in place ,shower very small you can't turn round in it and for these reasons wouldn't stay again Jose Vila-Nova, Diretor-Geral at Rocamar Exclusive Hotel & Spa, responded to this review Dear Guest, Thank you for your kind words about our staff and cleanliness!     Won’t be back not a 4 star hotel

    Recently stayed here, have stayed here several times previous. This hotel is definitely not 4 star, the breakfast is repetitive, lukewarm and average. Deposit required which I was aware from staying before. This time round I booked a sea view room and didn’t get it, went to reception and was dealt with by the rudest receptionist, sniggering and saying I need to pay an extra €55 per night. I explained I had booked the sea view room as per previous years through a travel agent but she kept repeating herself so I asked for a manager. Manager arrived out spealing same line , I knew there was no speaking to them so I left it as I wasn’t letting it ruin my holiday. But that was the last time I’ll stay as the Rocomar. There is far nicer hotels with much better facilities and better food and location. Give this place a skip….
