Over Priced and Mediocre-Sadly Disappointed

It is important to clarify that my review/critique applies only to the hotel’s facilities, not the staff. Every member of the staff was exceptional, courteous, friendly and helpful. The lobby, hallways, breakfast area and elevators were all maintained clean and orderly, and the breakfast buffet had a decent variety of food choices. However, the rooms themselves sorely lacked basic details, which I had experienced at other Hilton properties and the NH Hotel Collection in Amsterdam. The rooms didn’t have a mini-fridge, full-length mirror or shower caddy, and very tiny closets. Additionally, the shower stall had an unfortunate design flaw which caused the bathroom floors to be dripping wet upon showering. We had to resort to laying down multiple layers of paper towels before showering to help absorb the water. These factors made the hotel seem cheap and inconvenient, although the price in the end was anything but reasonable. It is a lovely, quite, and mostly residential neighborhood, but the location of this property is a bit far from the Centrum so expect to pay an average of 35-50 Euros one way to arrive there.We have visited Amsterdam several times throughout the years and must confess this property was the most disappointing and would not stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay, room was decent, breakfast was really good and fresh.
