Good budget hotel

Basic room but adequate. The location is far from central Amsterdam however easily reachable by bus. The bus stop is 15mins away. Bus number 391 will take you into central Amsterdam and zaanse schan. Bus 111 and 391 will take you into zandaam. It take round about 15-30 mins for each destination. The breakfast is payable to the hotel. The choices are good. Good clean restaurant and items are replenished in a timely manner. Room is small so dont expect alot of walking space in the room. Bathroom is small too, however adequate. Housekeeping is not done daily and only every third day, however you can request for it to be done daily. Drinks and snack available to buy at reception. Also hot water available in reception. No kettle or safe in room. No wardrobes only hanging space and shelves in room. No shops nearby on an inductial estate. Overall a good stay for price. Only book if you are prepared to travel into Central.amsterdam.

Pros:1) The place was actually affordable. Anything closer to Amsterdam was astronomically pricey.2) The font desk staff was helpful and courteous and spoke excellent English.3) The rooms and bathrooms were on adequate size and were very clean.4) The WIFI was free with good speed and connectivity.5) The place is quiet at night and the sleep quality is good.6) There is ample parking in front of the hotel.Cons:1) The place in the middle of nowhere. It is difficult to get to without a car. There is sporadic bus connection to the Zaandam station. There are no places to eat/shop nearby. 2) The hotel does not have a laundry machine.

Great hotel, staff are super friendly, we arrived at 11am and was aware check in wasn’t until 3pm but they very kindly allowed us to check in early with no extra cost, again when checked out they allowed us to leave our cases behind reception as we didn’t get picked up until 4pm, very kind staff! Hotel itself was very clean, no issues whatsoever with the hotel. It is a while away from Amsterdam central so we got a uber or bolt costing around 20-28 euro which wasn’t too bad. I’d 100% recommend downloading both uber and bolt and booking the cheapest as it’s crazy how they both charge different prices we found most the time bolt was cheaper. No shops nearby as it is on an industrial estate but everything we needed was sold at the hotel not much higher price than the shops either. Breakfast was around 12 euro each, we didn’t have breakfast but it looked as if it was pastries, cheeses and meats no hot breakfast. Would 100% stay again!

Great budget hotel ideal for exploring Amsterdam

The hotel is in Zaandam NOT in the Amsterdam travel zone so you’ll need to buy a travel card to reflect this. We didn’t realise but it is easy enough to tap on and off the buses, stop located nearby. The hotel is quiet and staff are really friendly and helpful. I got free coffee in the mornings! The rooms are pretty small and the beds small single but plenty comfy enough. Only one pillow however. There is a bit of building work starts around 7 in the morning but otherwise the hotel is so quiet. Breakfast is available for €12 but we just went out for breakfast anyway in Amsterdam. The hotel is a nice but walk along the canal from Zaandam station. If you fancy a change of scenery to Amsterdam, Zaandam centre is lovely with modern canal side shops and eateries.
