  You won’t be disappointed!

  I can’t give the staff enough praise and recognition on how amazing the customer service is. I’d like to specifically recognize, Randy (Spot pool bar) he was so much fun, a great person to converse with and our drinks never went empty. David and Benjy (our butlers) were so attentive and quick. Not a day went by that they didn’t check in right when they got on shift to see if we needed anything. Also, they both have the best sense of humor. Alfredo (waiter) was absolutely wonderful with helping us decide what to eat on the menu. After my 100 question about what the menu, he simply says “I’ll bring you the best” man did he ever! Not to mention one of each dessert on the menu. We had the honor of having him as a waiter at a few different restaurants. Last but definitely not least, our house keeping was outstanding! We never got to meet all of them, just Rosa. Our room was spotless everyday and stocked. They noticed the essentials we use the most of (towels, water bottles, Fanta) and stocked extra for us. These folks are just the ones we interacted with the most on a daily basis during our stay, but I will say that everyone else we came in contact with was just as amazing as our service crew.   Just back from our 4th visit to this wonderful resort and the change management a few years ago is really starting to have a positive impact. Couldn't fault a thing, from start to finish the staff worked effortlessly to ensure we had the best time. there are too many to mention but a big shout out to Lu, and father & son team Alfredo and Gerardo who looked after us at Cocotal breakfast, always a warm welcome from the lovely Lu, Alfredo went out of his way to make sure my poached eggs were ready without even asking for them, and great chat from Gerardo, what a way to start the day! D'italia Casitas was one of our favourites, our servers Edmar and Miguel were superb! Every restaurant is worth trying they are all amazing, i had read a lot of negative comments about the Mediterranean restaurant but it was so good we went twice! A huge thank you to Aracely and Jannelly from the Martini Bar for always giving us the warmest of welcomes. A slightly different format at Fuentes to what we have been used too (missed the dancing waiters) but still a very enjoyable evening, thank you to Jesus our server for a great job, he was very knowledgeable with the wine pairing. Thank you to everyone, entertainment staff for the great shows, grounds staff for the beautiful ground, and house keeping staff who kept our gorgeous room 5321 clean and tidy for us everyday. Cant wait to be back with you all, May 2027 already booked.   Another amazing adventure to my home away from home, Cancun! Beautiful people with amazing hearts! Thanks to all the staff that we consider family! Jose and Ramone our beach butlers are the most amazing people in Cancun! We are always treated like rock stars and miss them already! Gracias por todo mi familia. Anna and Fernanda our butlers at Generations were top notch as usual making sure all our needs were met with a smile and grace. Naay spa never misses a beat, wonderful relaxing massages with. Malia, Juan, Janeth and Samuel…magic hands and yes I had two massages while I was there, don’t judge lol. Also, a special shout out to Daniel at Maroma for making our day trip special and helping us out with the logistics! We will see you in September ??   Misleading Photos and promises in Expedia

  1. The photos of the beaches in Expedia are VERY misleading. They show open beaches with unlimited access to catamarans and jet skis. But this is only available at a beach for El Dorado Maroma located 17 miles from El Dorado Royale. You are required to schedule a day for this. It starts around 9:00 AM with a 25 min bus ride, then you can go on one catamaran ride for about 2 hours and one jet ski for 15 min., if available. You must stay until 5:00 PM for pickup. This is not indicated in the Expedia information. They make it seem these amenities are in your immediate area with constant access. 2. ALL of the beaches were un-swimmable due to rocks, seaweed and smells. 3. The rock carved salt water pool was closed the entire time we were there, (10 days). No one was working on it.4. Security was provided by a guard on the beach with a fully automatic weapon.5. There is ALOT of walking to get to the different restaurants. In order to gain access to 4 of the restaurants, it can be up to 4500 foot walk. Not all restaurants are in El Dorado Royal. Some are 2 resorts over. These restaurants are only available after7:30 PM.6. The concierge was only interested in selling you things. Not to be trusted. 6a. They will attempt to coheres you into touring the property and offer a free massage. This will take 4 hours out of your vacation and be a high pressure sale environment. 6b. She booked us to the Italian Restaurant on a night it was closed. 6c. I walked in there and said I wanted to go to a Cenote to snorkel. I was carrying my flippers, mask and snorkel. She booked us to a cave cenote with no snorkeling.
