The charming club resort is located opposite Playa Maroma, the most spectacular beach in the Riviera Maya. The beach hotel enjoys a perfect location close to the main tourist attractions in the area. Xcaret is approximately a 20-minute drive from the hotel, Cancun is 15 minutes by car, Playa del Carmen is 10 minutes and Cancun International airport is around 40 minutes north of the hotel.

The complex welcomes guests in a 2-storey building with a lift and 72 rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Rooms feature a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning, central heating and a fan ensure comfortable indoor temperatures. A balcony is included as standard in some rooms. The rooms have a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. Further amenities include an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a CD player, a DVD player, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Guests can take advantage of the nightly turndown service. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. Water sports available at the hotel include windsurfing, jet skiing, paddle boating, canoeing, sailing, kayaking, snorkelling, diving and aquafit. Sports enthusiasts are also offered a wide range of indoor activities, including a gym, table tennis, billiards, darts, squash, yoga, callisthenics and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam and a beauty salon. Subject to charge: massage treatments. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, live music and a dance club.

Dining facilities include a dining room, a café and a bar. Delicious specialities await guests in 3 non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurants. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include bed and breakfast and all-inclusive. A continental breakfast ensures a great start to the day. At dinner, guests choose their favourite dishes à la carte. A set menu can be ordered for lunch. Diet meals, gluten-free meals and vegetarian dishes can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options, picnics and snacks are available. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction. For guests, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included.

    The entertainment @ the Mexican Fiesta was great as was the food. Entertainment staff were the best, especially Omar, Tristan & Mafer on the volleyball court. Alex & Karim jumped in occasionally while DJ Karim kept the tunes flowing. Ice cream parlor was wonderful. The gardens & grounds are magnificent.

    Another amazing visit to El Dorado Maroma! It’s wonderful to see the familiar faces each year when we visit. Everyone takes such good care of the guests and of course the beach is the best in Mexico!! We really appreciate the hard work by the people who are preparing the beach every day and clearing the seaweed so the guests can enjoy.Thank you to Manuel our fabulous beach butler, Karen our favorite beach server, and Augustin our favorite hospitality manager!!!     Peaceful setting. Great food. Amazing staff!We celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday. We split our stay with a few days at El Dorado and a few days at the Palafitos Overwater Bungalows. They offered a good variety of tasty food and drinks. Everyone was super friendly. We especially appreciated the entertainment staff: Omar and Mafer made sand volleyball a lot of fun for the whole week and both led delicious cooking classes and crafts. Mafer and Tristan hyped us up for pool music trivia. The whole group made us feel invited and welcomed to add to the fun of our stay.

    Our trip to El Dorado Maroma was relaxing and memorable mostly due to the hard working staff. The location is lovely, rooms nice with good views, and food is excellent, however, it was the staff that made a difference. Our favorite activity during our week vacation was the kayak/snorkle trip to the centote off the shore of the resort. We had Mauricio as our private guide and Jerik as our life guard and they were wonderful. Mauricio even helped us plan a snorkeling day trip and went “above the line of duty” to help us. All of the servers, instructors, and office staff were helpful and kind. Thanks to Javier our concierge as well. We would definitely recommend the hotel.
