Location

Located on the south-west coast of Mauritius, in the heart of the preserved nature of Bel Ombre, the hotel is exceptionally located between the lush tropical vegetation and breathtaking crystal blue waters. It is a 45-minute transfer from the Mauritius International Airport.

Facility

181 rooms are available. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, 24-hour room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry, a page service and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Air conditioning and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the view of the beach from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a double bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a stereo system, a games console, an alarm clock and WiFi provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The resort has family rooms, non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

Sport

The outdoor pool complex includes a children's swimming area and is ideal for working out or just relaxing. The pool area also includes a hot tub, a waterslide and a pool bar. A sun terrace, sun loungers, and parasols are available. The resort offers an extensive outdoor sport and leisure programme, which includes tennis, bocce, beach volleyball, volleyball, crazy golf, archery, fishing and horse riding. For a fee, guests can also enjoy cycling/mountain biking and golf. With water skiing, windsurfing, motorboat rides, paddle boating, canoeing, sailing, catamaraning, snorkelling, diving, water aerobics and aquafit available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. The resort offers numerous indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, badminton, darts, yoga and aerobics or, for a fee, billiards. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, massage treatments, hydrotherapy treatments and a solarium. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, live music and a dance club.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant, a café and a bar. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include half board, full board and all-inclusive. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At breakfast and dinner, guests serves themselves at the generous buffet. Diet meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction. Alcoholic beverages are available.

    In May, my friends and I stated at this wonderful hotel in the south, and from the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm welcome we received during the check-in. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional team at Bar Bleu. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel like part of the Outrigger family throughout our stay. A special thank you to Yoven, Sandy and Sharonne for going above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were taken care of, even when they were not personally on duty.     Our stay at Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort was unfortunately overshadowed by a deeply disturbing incident that left three female guests feeling unsafe and unsupported.While attending the evening entertainment at the bar on 22 May 2026, an intoxicated guest repeatedly harassed us and eventually forcefully grabbed my friend's arm in an attempt to make her dance with him. The experience was both frightening and distressing.What was particularly disappointing was not only the incident itself, but also the manner in which it was handled afterwards. Following our complaint to hotel management, we were informed that the Duty Manager and Security Team had intervened and dealt with the intoxicated guest. However, at no point during or after the incident did we see the Duty Manager or any member of the Security Team approach us to assess our wellbeing or offer support. As affected guests, we would have expected a more proactive and compassionate response.The hotel subsequently stated that the guest had been escorted back to his room and that his movements continued to be monitored. Nevertheless, we personally observed the same intoxicated individual wandering around the resort later that evening while we were returning to our room. We did not observe any visible security presence at that time, which further heightened our concerns and anxiety.Even more concerning was the hotel's statement that no member of staff witnessed the moment when my friend was physically grabbed. We therefore questioned whether CCTV footage from the bar area had been reviewed as part of the investigation, but no clear response was provided regarding this matter.As women travelling together, we expected to feel safe and secure at a resort of this reputation. Instead, we left feeling traumatised, disappointed, and dissatisfied with the way a serious guest safety concern was addressed.The apparent lack of empathy, accountability, and visible follow-up following such an incident was extremely disappointing. Regrettably, this experience has significantly impacted our perception of the resort. As a result, we will not be returning and cannot recommend the property to guests who expect their safety and wellbeing to be treated as a priority.     I recently stayed at Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish.The hotel itself is beautiful, with a relaxing atmosphere and stunning surroundings that make it perfect for a getaway. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall service was excellent throughout my stay.What really made my experience special was the outstanding staff. A big thank you to Chef luckoo,chef Patrick, chef jeetun,Mr Sam, Kavish, Nitisha, and Yoven and all the Indian trainee for their kindness, professionalism, and warm hospitality.
