The room that we got has an exhaust problem, called the FO and informed about it afternoon time, we went out to have fun in their lovely pools went back to the room at night and seems that the exhaust wasn't fixed, called again and after a while FO (Ms. Turka) informed us that if its possible to change rooms and we are very pleased that we got an upgrade of pool view and the toilet exhaust is working well. Breakfast was amazing with (Ms. Nurul) help.. thank you. The room attendant (Mr. Rakib) was very helpful as well. Thanks to all that made our stay wonderful 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Prime location, so close to all the great street food and Long Beach, right on the beach.Rooms are well equipped and balcony is great so sit out on and watch the sunset. Buffet breakfast is extensive and definitely worth paying for as inclusive. Great Family Stay with Beautiful Sea View & Relaxing Atmosphere

Stayed here for 3D2N from 30 May to 1 June 2026 in the Executive Sea View room with family. Overall, we enjoyed the stay.The room was comfortable and spacious, and the sea view from the balcony was really nice. Sitting outside and enjoying the view was probably one of our favourite moments during the trip.The kids enjoyed the swimming pool area and the resort atmosphere felt relaxing. Plenty of greenery, palm trees, and a nice beach resort vibe. We also enjoyed simple moments by the pool just relaxing with snacks and ice cream.Staff were friendly and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. Location is also good if you want a quieter environment in Batu Ferringhi.Some parts of the hotel look a bit dated, but overall it was clean and comfortable enough for a family stay.Would return again for a short relaxing trip. Best Place For Family Getaway

We had a wonderful family stay at Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang and it truly exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Sands Adventure Suite and it was absolutely perfect for families with children. The suite was spacious, very comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with a fun in-room playground setup and bunk bed concept that made our kids so excited from the moment we entered. The ocean view from the room and balcony was also beautiful and very relaxing.One of the biggest highlights of the resort is definitely the Adventure Zone. Our kids had an amazing time playing on the giant slides and indoor playground. All facilities around the resort are very family-friendly and kept the children entertained throughout the stay. The Splash Zone and swimming pool area were also fantastic. My kids enjoyed the waterpark so much that they didn’t want to leave the pool. It is truly one of the best resorts in Penang for families with young children.Breakfast was another highlight. There was a wide variety of delicious food every morning, including both local and international choices. We especially loved the kids’ corner during breakfast, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable and convenient for families with children. It was such a thoughtful touch by the hotel.The staff throughout the resort were warm, friendly, and always helpful. Their hospitality really made the stay even more pleasant. We also appreciated the free parking and the excellent beachfront location at Batu Ferringhi. The beach view and relaxing atmosphere made it the perfect short getaway for our family.Overall, Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang is an outstanding family resort with excellent kids’ facilities, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, friendly service, and a beautiful beachside setting.
