Best family stay ever

We were just stunned at how perfect our stay was. The kids club was truly memorable as the staff did arts and crafts activities that our kids loved, and they left the TV off! The manager Alif Aiman was super helpful to us with checkout and transportation, and really saved our trip. And the beach was just spectacular, shady with plenty of places to sit, such a cool environment that our kids loved.

Beautiful Resort and Facilities, but Service Consistency Needs Improvement

My family recently stayed at Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas. The resort grounds are beautiful, the beach is pleasant, and the facilities are suitable for a relaxing family getaway.However, there were a few areas that affected our overall experience. We had requested an early check-in and were asked to wait. During that time, I observed another guest being offered alternative room options and possible solutions by a guest relations officer. Unfortunately, no similar options or updates were communicated to us. We ended up waiting nearly an hour without clear follow-up, which made the guest relations experience feel inconsistent and less proactive than expected.Cleanliness could also be improved. We found small flies in the toilet area of our guest room, which was disappointing given the resort's positioning and room rates.We also dined at Turmeric Restaurant. While the breakfast spread was acceptable, we felt that the Chinese and Indian dishes could be improved. The food quality and flavour did not quite meet the expectations we had for a luxury resort.Overall, Anantara Desaru offers beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities, but improvements in service consistency, communication, room cleanliness, and dining quality would significantly enhance the guest experience. We hope management will take these comments constructively, as the resort has great potential.

Anantara Desaru truly lived up to its reputation. It wasn't just another stunningly beautiful resort, it was the attentiveness and hospitality of the staff truly elevated our experience.What made our stay particularly memorable was the consistently excellent service across every part of the resort, despite visiting during peak holiday season. Despite the crowded breakfast room, we were never left wanting and service was always accompanied by a warm smile. The front desk team was warm, professional and attentive, housekeeping staff were discreet yet omnipresent when it came to meeting our needs. The pool and beachside attendants were equally attentive, rushing to provide my children with toys, cool water and even some snacks.I also thoroughly enjoyed the spa, where the service was excellent and the experience was both relaxing and rejuvenating. The resort also offers a great range of activities for children and water sports for adults, making it a wonderful choice for families.We were especially grateful for the way the front desk handled a difficult situation during our stay. We encountered rowdy and inconsiderate guests in a neighbouring rooms who were making excessive noise late into the night. Ali from front desk staff listened with genuine empathy, took our concerns seriously and responded promptly with practical solutions. His calm, caring and efficient handling of the matter made us feel supported and valued as guests.Special thanks to Fidaus, Amri, Ibrahim, Akmal, Mehide, Mahabab, Hassan, Shofiqul, and the many other wonderful team members whose names we unfortunately did not manage to catch. Their service set a new standard, consistently professional, yet warm and personable in reflection of genuine Malaysian kampung hospitality.
