This is a small town in the East of Borneo and is the stepping-stone to the rest of the island, the world's last unspoilt rainforests of 'The Land Below the Wind'. Sepilok Oran Utan Rehabilitation is just a short drive away. Sandakan Airport is a 20 minute taxi ride away. Sukau-Kinabatangan River and Selingan Island (Turtle Island) are both about a 90-minute drive away.

Good hotel with swift easy check in. Rooms are good size and adequate. Pool is lovely. Ate in both restaurants. Was ample choice and staff keen to accommodate. Drinks at bar are reasonably priced.

Only stayed 1 night before moving on, but was a good nights sleep, lovely swimming pool with a resident monitor lizard, who makes an appearance every now and then.Hotel has an ATM.We took a Grab into Sandakan, which is not touristy and is a bit shabby, but has a large shopping mall and we had an amazing meal in a local cafe for £4.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Absolutely stunning hotel. Pool area is really nice and relaxing. Breakfast had a good selection. Used GRAB to get around, very cheap. Tiger beer is very expensive in the hotel compared to the town. Room was a good size with 2 large single beds which were very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and super friendly.

Better than expected. Cocktails, music & a monitor lizard swimming in the pool. The kid's loved the slide & gym. Room was big & even had a bath. Needs a little maintenance but compared to other resorts I'd previously stayed in Borneo this was by far the nicest! Lot's of variety at breakfast, omelette station needs improvement though. More egg shells than tomato in my omelette!!

Lovely hotel on the edge of the city. Staff very efficent and friendly. Lady in the lobby bar was lovely and looked after us very well - sorry don't know her name. We ate there 2 nights and the food was very good. Pool area was well maintained and we were delighted to have a visit from the monitor lizard who came to sunbathe and have a little swim. Large room with comfortable bed. Everything was very clean.
