    Excellent Stay.

    rating03 Jun 2026

Hotel was modern, clean and staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and beds were very comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfect, it’s very well connected to several different underground train lines (one stop is 5 min walk away). Despite being in Shinjuku, the hotel is situated on a main road on the outskirts of Shinjuku. It felt really safe and wasn’t too busy/filled with tourists like some of the more popular areas in the central parks of Shinjuku. We would definitely stay again if back in Tokyo.

    Great stay!

    rating02 Jun 2026

We were very pleased with our stay. The room was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate three large suitcases. We stayed in a Comfort Room, which came equipped with a washer-dryer and a microwave—both very convenient for longer stays. The hotel also offers complimentary daily coffee for guests, which we only discovered when we were about to check out—haha! That said, there's a nice Tully's Coffee just down the street if you need your morning caffeine fix.The hotel is located on the fringe of Kabukicho, Tokyo's nightlife district. While I generally felt safe throughout our stay, families with young children may want to take the location into consideration. The main metro lines are about a 10-minute walk away, but don't overlook the public buses—they are often more convenient. Alternatively, taxis are readily available just outside the hotel, and fares are quite reasonable for short-distance trips.Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would gladly return.

A fantastic hotel located in Shinjuku

    rating02 Mar 2026

We stayed at this hotel for 11 days as my husband here to run the Tokyo marathon. The room was a decent size and had an actual full queen size bed, which was great. I slept really well there. The pillows were good because I didn’t have a single neck ache the whole time I was here when I woke up in the morning.Everything is clean and tidy our shower was probably one of the best hotel showers we’ve ever had with multiple settings to get the water pressure you want. The staff was very cheerful and helpful and they also have a nice area where you can have coffee and hang out.The location was perfect for us to get around different parts of Tokyo. Besides the train system, Cabs and Ubers were relatively easy to get as well. You are near all kinds of great fun places to eat and also some decent department stores and specialty stores as well.Would I stay here again absolutely and I recommend this hotel without any reservations. It’s a perfect place to get all over Tokyo, and the service and qualities is top-notch.

    Comfortable, Convenient, Great Customer Service

    rating30 Dec 2025

The room (and beds) were VERY comfortable, there was a train station steps away, and you cannot beat the convenience of the in-room fridge, microwave, and washer/dryer (all in one, instructions in Japanese, but you can use Google Translate (via the camera) to figure it out), and the service was exceptional, as we saw during our one hiccup - in our initial room, the washing machine stopped working in the middle of the night. The front desk lady came up with a key to a neighboring empty room, and helped us move our wash over there to finish the load. The very next day, they set us up with a new room, and gave us tickets for a free (delicious and varied) breakfast to make up for it. They are all about customer service here. It is a great hotel.

    Great find in Tokyo

    rating12 Nov 2025

We loved the Tokyo Stay Shinjuku Eastside. It's a simple, but very comfortable hotel. Our room was a good size for Japan, with huge windows that looked out on the city. It's a good location... Near enough to the bright lights and nightlife of Shinjuku, but not caught up in the chaos around the station . Breakfast was varied, delicious, and different every day. The staff was warm and welcoming. We would definitely stay again.
