  Fantastic hotel!

  We love this hotel. Booked it due to its proximity to Kyoto train station literally five minutes walk away which has numerous bars, restaurants and shops, very central for all tastes. The room was fantastic, the staff are lovely and very helpful. Room spacious enough and very comfortable and cleaned every day. Rooms on the inside of the hotel just look out onto the roof as it is built in a square shape but to be honest many view on the outside would just be of other buildings. Who needs a view. Beds were very comfortable. No evening meals but the breakfast were buffet style and they cater for local Japanese style or western tastes. Breakfast food high-quality be folded omelettes are to die for. Free coffee and soft drinks from 10 am till 5 pm. Lovely bar on an evening, a little pricey but very good value. Overall we stayed six nights here and did not want to leave! Highly recommended.

  We spent two nights here on a tour, so not much time to use all the facilities. Modern city hotel located close to the station. Pretty small rooms with no space for opening two suitcases (fortunately we only had rucksacks). Toilet typically multifunctional. No gym. Like all Japanese hotels, spotlessly clean with very polite staff.

  Very disappointed with the hotel’s attitude toward guests. I made a reservation and immediately realized I had selected the wrong dates. I contacted the hotel right away and sent a cancellation request, explaining the situation. Despite this being an obvious mistake and the fact that I reached out immediately after booking, my request was denied without any attempt to be understanding or helpful. I then asked if it would at least be possible to change the dates — again, I was refused. I understand that the booking is non-refundable, but when a guest contacts you immediately, most hotels show at least some flexibility. Here, there was none — no willingness to help, no proper communication. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have stayed at this hotel multiple times with groups and was planning to continue bringing guests here regularly in the future. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will have to reconsider and choose a different hotel. It feels like the hotel simply doesn’t care about its guests. I would not recommend staying here if you expect even basic customer service. ⸻ ホテルの対応にはとてもがっかりしました。予約をした直後に日付を間違えていることに気づき、すぐにキャンセルリクエストを送り、ホテルにも連絡して事情を説明しました。 しかし、この明らかなミスであり、予約直後に連絡したにもかかわらず、全く配慮されることなくキャンセルは拒否されました。その後、せめて日程の変更だけでもできないかとお願いしましたが、それも断られました。 返金不可の予約であることは理解していますが、予約直後に連絡した場合、多くのホテルは多少の柔軟な対応をしてくれるものです。しかし、このホテルにはそのような姿勢は全く感じられず、対応も不十分でした。 さらに残念なのは、これまでにこのホテルにはグループで何度も宿泊しており、今後も継続して利用する予定だったという点です。しかし今回の対応を受け、残念ながら今後は別のホテルを選ばざるを得ません。 宿泊客のことを大切にしていないと感じます。最低限のサービスや対応を期待する方にはおすすめできません。

  Great great place to stay. Great breakfast, fantastic room, sheets, towels and excellent clean. Shower and water pressure amazing. The hotel offers free drinks and snacks till 530pm. Location can't be better, 2 blocks from Kyoto station accessing everything. If you decide Kyoto, don't hesitate. This is the place.

  Fantastic Hotel - Except Breakfast

  This hotel is fantastic. It was in a great location just steps from the Kyoto station and the rooms were big and very comfortable with two young kids. Super clean and all of the amenities were provided. It was a great value and everything was perfect except the breakfast. Their breakfast is awful, but didn't matter as didn't always eat there. The staff is also very kind and helpful. Definitely would stay there on our next trip.
