    Great value

The rooms are clean and this hotel has some super fun amenities. For example, the lobby has a plethora of items for you to grab if you need them (toothpaste, hair ties, etc) and you can borrow fun pajamas, reusable tote bags, or a curling iron/flat iron combo, among other things. You will find a temple just a few steps away, and you're close to a subway station and lots of other shops and places to explore.

Perfect hotel for a stay of few days in Kyoto. Very good shower, large room, breakfast could be more for western guests

    rating12 Sept 2025

Perfect located hotel. Good shower, large room. But breakfast could be more choices for western guests. I missed cheese, fresh jams and not enough variation in fresh fruits. Only apple and oranges. Service of the employers was perfect,

Great Stay in Kyoto with Outstanding Service and Comfort

    rating10 Aug 2025

I stayed here in April 2024 and absolutely loved my experience. The service was excellent, and the staff were truly attentive and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of variety, and there was a spacious lounge area to enjoy coffee in the afternoon or evening. The room was one of the largest I stayed in during my entire trip to Japan, and the bathroom was huge compared to other hotels or facilities in the country. I particularly liked the location: very close to the subway station, making it easy to get around the entire Kyoto area — which is quite large. And if you enjoy walking and exploring the streets and hidden corners of the city, it’s perfect. There was only one detail I didn’t love, though it’s something you can adapt to: you have to set a specific time for breakfast. This isn’t necessarily bad, but sometimes you might change your mind in the morning, and you already have a set time. That said, this is not unique to this hotel — it also happened to us in other hotels in Japan.Overall, I would definitely stay here again. I really enjoyed the hotel, the service, and the rooms, and I think it’s an excellent choice for getting to know and exploring the city.

Very lovely hotel in very convenient location

    rating17 Apr 2025

Our experience here was great! My partner and I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights for our first time in Japan, and we were very happy we chose this hotel. We were running late for the check-in time that we said we would be there for as we got delayed at the airport. I messaged the hotel directly through my Booking.com account to let them know that we would be late, and they got back to us straight away with no issue and waited for us. Which was lovely. Our check-in experience was so easy and all of the staff are so kind and helpful all the time. They have free toiletries, pyjamas, lotions etc. in the lobby you can help yourself too for free which is a lovely touch. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Comfortable big bed, nice TV, great shower and bath. We had everything we needed! However, something minor, we did notice that the room did not have a wardrobe in it, so if you’re staying for a bit longer than we did you’ll have to be comfortable living out of your suitcase. Which was no issue for us. But may be annoying for you if you like hanging your clothes up. There are also laundry facilities. You can wash and tumble dry your clothes for a small fee. The hotel is very close to public transport like trains and buses. It is also very close to the main city in Kyoto, everything is walking distance! If you don’t feel like leaving the Kyoto area, there are so many amazing places to eat and drink in just a short walking distance. But if you also feel like leaving the area for a day out, the train stations are even closer. My partner and I definitely recommend staying in this hotel. The location is very convenient, and we would come back again when visiting Kyoto, Japan, for sure!

    Great hotel, comfy, large rooms

    rating17 May 2024

Great hotel. Comfy bed, and HUGE room. Even a separate toilet. Free drinks machine that you can use after 12. Clean and with an actual view out the window. Had a small couch and table. Stored luggage. Clean, friendly and great location. Highly recommended. They do breakfast for 1600 yen each but we went for breakfast at Shinshindo, Sanjo Kawaramachi on the three days we were there which is only a short walk away and does great bakery food, and also toast and coffee, bacon eggs and coffee, French toast and coffee. Paid less than 2000 yen for two of us. Coffee is unlimited refills. Also recommend going to Que Pasa for Mexican and to Tepanyaki Manryu, but get there by 5.30 or book as only a few tables! Food lovingly prepared with high recommendations for garlic prawns, garlic prawns and garlic rice, fried noodles, fried potatoes, seafood platter, okoyanami and sure everything else they cook. We went in one night and at the end booked for the following night. Still salivating thinking about it. And less than 5000 yen for two of us including drinks and more food than we needed.Definitely do Bamboo Forest and Monkey Place on one day. And then another day the temple gates.
