The carpets were stained and filthy, the decor generally very tired. The staff were friendly but everything else was pretty poor. The corridor smelt of fish.

Great value for money. It doesn't have a big hotel lobby, but on the other hand there is a very popular free coffee. The rooms have all the amenities but I want to emphasize above all the excellent service for customers by attentive receptionists, very helpful and courteous. Good logistics, two restaurants in front great for those arriving in the evening and do not want to go too far for dinner. Hotel that I recommend. Worst customer service ever!!

The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I booked this hotel for my first night in Japan, but shortly after, I realized I had selected the wrong date. Since the listing mentioned a flexible date option, I assumed it would be an easy fix. However, when I tried to change my reservation from the 6th to the 7th, they not only refused but also kept my money. The lack of customer service was shocking—at this point, it feels like they just took my money with no regard. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

I had a nice stay at Agora Kyoto Shijo. The staff was very helpful and professional, they have a nice bar and restaurant area. The room was a little small but inventively laid out. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. It was a really good value and I would stay again. The location was convenient, close to the subway and about a 10/15 walk from the Market.

Perfect stay. Quiet yet convenient

This is a very new Hotel with some passionate staff who speak good command of English. Also, they are polite and patient. Price wise depending on your book it can be expensive but we managed to book it at around just under ¥10,000. Nice bar at the lobby, 24 hours, hot and cold drinks are provided Also they do keep luggages for you after you check out.Few mins walk to the nearest station, however, plenty of bus options right outside the hotel
