Hotel Michelangelo is a great location easy to get downtown for shopping and dining. The staff were excellent, Francesco in dining was very attentive and greeted you with a warm welcome to the restaurant every morning for breakfast. The roof top bar was a great place to enjoy an aperitivo at sunset. Ugo and Maria added to the experience with their humor and great service. The cleaning staff was on point and very friendly making our room comfy and welcoming.

Lovely clean hotel, great location, but avoid the Annexe Rooms

The hotel is perfectly located in Sorrento town with easy access to the train station. Very clean throughout and the staff very polite and helpful. Breakfast is ok, and they were kind enough to make us omelettes, which suited us as we enjoyed eating out mostly in Sorrento itself, and we're food coma'd by the second day to want anything in the mornings. However - Do not stay in the Annexe, particularly Rm 128. The Annexe rooms look to be the lower floor of a residential building beside the hotel. These rooms are a little dated, but worst of all in Rm 128 the walls are so incredibly thin you can hear the abutting rooms use the toilet, flush the toilet, turn the taps on/off and listen to them shower. You can hear kids screaming and crying, adults talking/shouting, and the residents run their washing machine (vibrating wall), and constant trickling water from the pipes in the walls as the residents in the stories above go about their business. Fortunately, the hotel were able to move us to another room in the main building for our remaining 2 nights, which was far superior. Otherwise, talk about sleep deprivation! For your info, the Annexe room was booked as a package via Jet2holidays, so if you have the option to book the main building, we recommend you do.

The rooms although nice are very very small. Reception staff very dismissive and unhelpful. English was not spoken well and I appreciate us English don’t learn the other languages but that’s us. No aircon until the day we left which meant windows open and noisy. Not a hotel for any one with disabilities. Would not returnSorry not for us.

We had 7 days in Sorrento and can’t speak highly enough about the place and hotel. Our room was fantastic as was the buffet breakfast with plenty of variety on offer each day. The roof top bathing area was a favourite of ours. I special mention for all the staff who were so friendly, helpful and pleasant throughout our visit. We would fully recommend this hotel, its location is perfect too, for visiting all the fabulous places Sorrento has to offer. Thank you hotel Michelangelo

Beautiful hotel in a great location!

We stayed for 5 nights in this hotel and can honestly say there is nothing negative to say ! The staff were so nice particularly Francesco and the restaurant staff and of course Ugo at the bar! The room was lovely with really comfy beds and pillows and a great shower.Large selection of fresh food for breakfast every morning.Very close to centre of Sorrento so I can't recommend it enough !
