Boom boom boom is unacceptable noise level well into the early hours on a Monday night preventing residents sleep

Come on guys - we are here now - lots of quirky things I like about the hotel but boom boom boom music and blaring announcements went on last night until well after midnight. It’s not fair for guests staying in the hotel rooms. We had both caught viral infections whilst at the hotel and needed sleep. We were in bed at 9pm but the music prevented any sleep for 4 hours and we have woken up with really bad headaches and feeling worse despite medication. It’s simply not good enough. Lots of previous complaints about the same thing but nothing changes. It’s really really poor.

We spent 10 days at Moon Valley grande hotel. It proved to be a perfect base to visit Sorrento, Pompeii and Capri. The local train station (4 to 6 mins walk) is ideal to bring you to Sorrento and Pompeii. We took a boat from Sieno port to Capri....using the ferry hopper app. Walk to Sieno is 15 mins down hill (look for the stone arches and follow the road down), uphill on the way back a bit harder in the heat. Comments that there is no path this is not the case.....(dont rely on google earth maps as not always clear). Pompeii was amazing but in August the heat was brutal.Moon Valley we give it 5 stars. The staff although very busy were always helpful and courteous. The cleaning staff did an amazing job. Everything was super clean. We went half board and enjoyed the food...mostly. The pool was lovely and sun loungers aplenty. We did put towels out but just so we could get sun loungers together. For lunch we used the local shop la Casina for a delicious and super value selection of food and drink. The shop owner was very welcoming and helpful. Noise was only a slight issue as we were near the bar where evening entertainment was but it never went beyond 23.00. We were by a road but with the shutters closed sound was miminmal. We paid extra for a sea view which was so lovely. All in all we had an amazing time and honestly dont understand negative reviews!!

We stayed here as a family of four with our friends and their family. The hotel was everything I wanted it to be, clean and comfortable. I found the staff really friendly and they all worked so hard. The pool is gorgeous in a lovely setting and lovely and warm. We always found sunbeds and the meals were mixed but we never went hungry. The hotels pizzas are really tasty. It is slightly out of sorrento but it’s a short walk to to the train station and only a 10 minute ride into Sorrento. I appreciate those with mobility issues may find it more difficult, there are bus stops outside the hotel and the hotel offers a free shuttle into sorrento which you must pre book. Honestly had a wonderful time and thank you to the amazing staff for making our holiday.

Great stay in a difficult location

We had a great stay here, we stayed on b&b basis. the hotel is impeccably clean, pool area is superb with great views and large relative to size of hotel. The pool bar does excellent lunch, the breakfast is basic youth hostel level. The local deli la cascina and the tabac in the village are superb as is the local restaurant la banta which would be easily passed but shouldn’t be. The only issue with hotel is the location, it is 1/2hr walk downhill to seiano and £30 taxi back up. It feels a but hemmed in by an incredibly busy road and the pedestrian routes are very limited, the walk downhill to seiano isn’t nice or easy. Seiano train station is 5 mins down the hill and it’s £1.50 into sorrento, quick and easy likewise for vico equense which is really where you are and a bit of a hassle for evenings to be honest, the hotel also offers a free shuttle bus which you can pre-book to sorrento.We had a great time just a difficult location but it feels harsh to criticise also, a conflcted review!
