    Disappointed Stay!

    rating27 May 2025

Disappointed Stay!I booked this hotel with high expectations, influenced by the positive reviews I read beforehand. But as the saying goes – you only know the truth once you experience it yourself. We had two superior rooms. One of them was better than the other, with a larger balcony, an espresso machine, and a higher-floor location. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The air-conditioning was turned off by default, and we had to call the front desk to have it switched on – something that should have been automatic in a “superior” room. The staff wasn’t welcoming or helpful; in fact, they came across as quite rude during interactions.Location-wise, the hotel is quite offbeat with no supermarkets or quality restaurants nearby, making it inconvenient for travelers looking to explore or grab a decent meal without much hassle.Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. It doesn’t live up to the expectations or the reviews – and there are better options available for the same price range.P. S. - The only good thing about the hotel is, public transport - bus station and metro is near.

    Would Recommend

    rating27 May 2025

easily accessible from airport ticket 1.50 e purchased at arrivals from a desk which allows bus 270 to metro stop Laurentina the last stop on line B. The same ticket allowed you to take a Metro from Laurentina to Marconi (several stops perhaps 20 mins). And a short walk 200 meters to Hotel. Reception Staff polite and helpful and all staff encounter were excellent. Booked on a no meal basis on arrival arranged for dinner that evening and for the following two days halfboard food at breakfast and dinner were lovely and priced fairly. Room was clean and located on the lower ground floor and in a very attractive shared garden area with comfortable seating and was noise free. The Marconi metro provides easy means and a fast route to many of the sites in Rome the Colosseum for example takes perhaps 15 minutes. There are a couple of shops only metres from the Hotel for water, milk and groceries if wanted and a cafe for morning cake tea and coffee. overall would highly recommend this Hotel and hope to be returning shortly for a revisit. At the Metro Station you can easily purchase 24, 48 hr tickets by card that will allow you to travel around using bus tram and metro and these tickets are cheap - on return to airport we used the ticket purchased a day earlier ie 24 hr ticket to travel to Laurentina metro and then the 270 bus to airport Ciampino (whilst a taxi would cost c e70)A nice hotel, good atmosphere and lovely staff. A special shout out to Alice at the Reception, Breakfast Staff and those serving dinner.

    Lots of road noise

    rating27 May 2025

The reason for the low score is mostly outside noise & shabby location. The good Comfy beds Efficient check in (although all staff efficient just not very friendly) Clean Modern reception Great Wi-FiBus stop outside The bad The road and people passing by so noisy. Also could hear neighbours snoring through walls. We had a room at the front and daughters had one at the back. We asked if we could have a room close by, even if on the same floor but it was just a ‘no’. Anyway they do have ear plugs at reception you can have, which we did but not very good. Both nights not much sleep. Location although bus stop outside (which got packed) it’s over an hours walk into the main areas of towns. Who knew how expensive Ubers are. But that’s down to me not checking. However the location around the hotel is grotty and far say from anything. Although we did find an amazing restaurant about 15 mins away called Mojo, yummy. If you can’t get sleep on vacation what’s the pint?

Comfy bed, great food but roof top isn't free!

    rating27 May 2025

The most comfortable bed i have slept in. Breakfast was lovely, nothing too much for the staff. The roof top is not open for free. Its 24euros for 2 hours which wasnt clearly specified. I was on ground floor and late at night would hear the restraunt above being cleaned and chairs moving around. But i loved the hotel and its location. Would go again..if the roof top is free access!

Great hotel in a good location close to the Metro!

    rating27 May 2025

My husband and I stayed at hotel Pulitzer and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed for three nights. We were surprised at how close the hotel was to the Metro train station only about a five minute walk. The hotel has a few mini markets down the road where we got a bottle of wine from, some bottles beers, water and crisps. There wasn’t an awful lot outside of the hotel to go to, but we did manage to find a lovely gelato shop where I had the most amazing ice cream for €4The hotel was very clean and our room was lovely. It had 2 lifts. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom shower was nice and hot. Oh and The hand wash was so nice! We didn’t find any English TV channels to watch which was a shame but we were too tired by the time we got in at night time. Breakfast was lovely everything you could want but the baked beans were a bit cold but everything else was very nice.We ate in the restaurant every evening as we were halfboard. There were 3 starters, a few pasta dishes, three mains and three choices of desert. For half board, you could choose two courses Which was included. I chose a chicken breast in white wine and then a potato side dish and that was classed as two courses. The salmon starter and also the Palmer ham was amazing. There was so much of it!Drinks were extra but was a reasonable price. The restaurant ladies work very hard. She serves the bar, takes the food orders so work extremely hard. The hotel was in a really good location five minutes walk to the Metro station but there wasn’t an awful lot around the area to go to apart from very busy road we’re drivers sound their horns a lot at other drivers LOLThe hotel was very clean. Our beds were comfortable and made every day. I would recommend this hotel and we will come back again!
