    Hotel Raphaella in Rome

    rating02 Jun 2025

This place is clean. The staff are excellent and very helpful. The free breakfast was really good. A great place to stay. It is close to St Mary Maggiore and plenty of good places to shop and eat. The Forum and Colosseum is quite close as well. We walked from here to all the sites including the Vatican, Castello St Angelo, Trevi Fountain etc. Marketing RGR Hotels, Proprietario at Hotel Raffaello - Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western, responded to this review Dear Guest,We sincerely thank you for your wonderful comment! We are delighted to know that you appreciated the cleanliness of our hotel the quality of the breakfast, and the courtesy of our staff, aspects we truly care about. It is also a great pleasure to hear that the hotel’s location served as an ideal starting point for you to explore the wonders of Rome, allowing you to easily reach iconic landmarks such as the Colosseum, the Vatican, and the Trevi Fountain. We truly hope to welcome you back soon for another pleasant stay in the Eternal City!Kind regardsNicoletta ColjcaGuest Relations Hotel Raffaello, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western Rome ITALY

Beautiful, well maintained and conveniently positioned.

    rating02 Jun 2025

This lovely, immaculate hotel has luxury details you would not expect for the reasonable price point. Service is top notch and the little extras like afternoon coffee and croissants make you feel really welcome. The hotel is within walking distance of the Termini train station yet tucked back enough that you are away from the crowds. It is also well positioned for walking to many sites and restaurants. Our room faced the front of the hotel (Room 306) so there was noise each day with trash collection starting at 4:30. I would recommend requesting a room away from the street. Marketing RGR Hotels, Proprietario at Hotel Raffaello - Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western, responded to this review Dear Lisa,Thank you very much for choosing our hotel and for sharing this wonderful review. We are delighted that you appreciated the care we put into maintaining the property, our convenient location, and the little details we enjoy providing to make each stay special. Perfect small hotel in centre of Rome

    rating02 Jun 2025

Perfect small, family hotel run by friendly efficient staff. We had a larger family room for the 2 of us.The room was well furnished and modern with a large, comfy bed and a beautiful, marble bathroom. It had a large walk in shower and the water temp. was easy to regulate. The whole room was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. The internet worked perfectly. We had breakfast every day of our stay served in a lovely dining room. The breakfast choice was excellent and plentiful - lots of cold meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit, juices, scrambled eggs and hot meats. The waiting staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. They made us cappuccinos and lattes when we asked for them and nothing was too much trouble for them. There is a lounge where we could help ourselves to coffee, tea and pastries during the day.The hotel is ideally situated for the sights around Rome on a quiet street but just a 10 minute walk from the train and bus station. We would always return to this hotel if we come back to Rome. Marketing RGR Hotels, Proprietario at Hotel Raffaello - Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your kind words and for appreciating every detail of your stay. It's a pleasure to know that your family room offered you the space and comfort you desired, and that the marble bathroom added a touch of elegance to your stay. Our staff, from the breakfast room to the reception, strives to make our guests feel at home, and we are happy that you appreciated them. The privileged location of our hotel, nestled in a quiet street in the historic center, is the ideal starting point for exploring the wonders of Rome. The proximity to the main attractions and the station makes every journey a pleasant trip through beauty.Your desire to return is the most beautiful compliment we could receive! We will be delighted to welcome you back and offer you an even more special experience.Kind regards,Nicoletta ColjcaGuest Relations Hotel Raffaello, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western Rome ITALY

    On a scale 1 through 10, this hotel gets a 20

    rating02 Jun 2025

Just returned, here are some things about our hotel stay hoping it might be useful :)-We stayed at the BW Hotel Raffaello in Rome Monti and would absolutely stay again. It was walkable to a lot; 20 minutes to the Spanish Steps (great area, lots of good shopping) and 10 minutes to the Colosseum. We also accidentally walked to Villa Borghese which was the highlight of the trip. Every road we walked down felt we took a lucky turn because of everything we saw. The only bummer is that the rooftop bar was closed for the season. The weather was in the 50s-60s the whole time, so we spent plenty of time on the terrace :) -This hotel is within walking distance of so many little retail shops, cheap souvenir shops and really nice cafes and trattorias. The rooms were remarkably, comfortable and not as small as you would think for a European hotel. The beds were VERY comfortable. The windows opened fully so we had lots of fresh air. I chose it based on location, price and the aesthetic. The rooms were so beautiful. The hotel and the staff exceeded all of my expectations. The breakfast was very satisfying (American coffee *AND* Cappuccino) and they have a free coffee spot in the lobby with *fresh* pastries, twenty four hours a day. I looked forward to those croissants every day.-We had collapsible water bottles (I don't know where to get them because we were given them as a gift before we left) which came in super handy because the water out of the public fountains was much more refreshing than any bottled water we bought.-There is a laundromat right around the corner where you can drop off to be washed and folded for you and it was done within a few hours. They are open 830a-9p. We did this for 25 euro for one basket, but they use a heavy perfume, so we could not wear the clean clothes and we have to rewash when we got home. This might not bother other people, but I am very sensitive to smell.-If you stay in this hotel I do recommend a balcony room. The terrace is like a private garden where I was able to enjoy my little coffee and croissant treat. However, there are only two rooms that have a terrace and not a lot of privacy between the two. Room 502 is double the size of 506 as the two terrace rooms.-Small elevators fit 4 people, or 1 or 2 with luggage. That said, we never had a problem and made a lot of use of the stairs anyway.-Great water pressure and water temp for the showers. They also offered full-sized shower products like you see in regular American hotels. The quality of these products were great, because we didn't have to pack toiletries except for a small bar of soap, because because I like having that option as a personal preference. The toilet paper rolls are very small and we went through toilet paper very quickly in the hotel. They keep little plastic bags handy to dispose of feminine hygiene products. They do have a good hair dryer but no iron. The bathrooms were not as small as we originally expected. Lots of space to spread out.-The staff were extraordinarily helpful when we needed to call a taxi, which is what we did when we left for the airport. We wanted to use up our euro, and these taxis accepted euro. But we used the FreeNow app for 90% of the taxis, we needed, and this was way more convenient.Long story short, I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation. And I will plan to stay here again. We're delighted that you appreciated the hotel's strategic location, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the breakfast, and the helpfulness of our staff.Reading about your 'lucky' walks through the streets of Rome, your discovery of Villa Borghese, and how every corner of the city surprised you, makes us realize that your stay was truly special. We're happy that Hotel Raffaello contributed to making your Roman experience unforgettable. We're thrilled that you plan to return!
