This hotel is wonderfully situated beside a main road just 3 km from Rome's historical city centre. Fiumicino Airport is approximately 25 km away and public transport connections are also close at hand (500 m).

English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Better in, than out.

    P eople say that first impressions count. Thankfully this was not true for the Caravel ! Set on a busy dual carageway, in a less than salubrious district, I began to have doubts. I need not have worried everything was fine. Spotless accomodation, comfortable rooms and above all friendly, effcient staff, willing and able to resolve any problems. I would not hesitate to return.

    I stayed a couple of weeks ago with my cousin. The room was pleasantly clean and the bed was very comfortable. My cousin had similar sentiments when we were leaving. They provided me with an iron when I needed one. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We both agreed that we would both stay there again if we were to go to Rome in the future. We had no problems with getting the bus into the city center.

    Affordable, nice and cozy hotel

    This is a very nice and affordable establishment. We drove into the city center each day and hit traffic on most days which took about 20 minutes. There is a great family owned pizzeria next door making it very convenient for a late night dinner! Our drive from the airport was about 25 minutes. The rooms are nice and the restroom had a blowdryer. I am from Texas and recommend brining a portable fan if you’re hot natured as the air conditioner did not blow very cold. This is common in Europe though. I did not try the breakfast but the bar area was very nice to get a night cap before bed.

    The mouse running about the breakfast area beside the pastries put us off There were mouse traps in the restaurant The staff just came with a brush to get it away We decided to leave the breakfast as the eggs were cold and the mouse put us off Rooms were big enough but could do with a good spring cleanThe bar didn’t open on a Saturday or Sunday The restaurant at the end of the road just wasn’t as good as people said The bus is across the road and the metro 15 min walk away You pass lovely bars and restaurants on your way down 3 stops you are at the coliseum Rone was great putty about the hotel tourist tax for 3 nights 45 euro more than a 2 week stay in lake Garda

    This is a really lovely hotel. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are modern,clean and the bed is nice and comfortable. The breakfast is a standard European breakfast that you would get in other cities. Sausages, bacon, egg, cereals, bread, fresh fruit, yoghurts. There’s also lots of delicious pastries to choose from. Like other reviews say the location isn’t the best but it’s really not that big of a deal. We were happy to have paid a cheaper price than other hotels and then spend a bit more time travelling into Rome. The bus stop is opposite the hotel, Bus 160 will take you to the Colosseum and into the centre of Rome near the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain etc. They are tap on tap off with your card, really cheap, it takes about 20 minutes. We found the 160 bus was a bit hit and miss with turning up on time so we discovered you can also get the 30 which comes more often. It’s really easy to use the Google Maps app to see which stop to get off at. The area around the hotel also feels quite safe. There’s not a lot of restaurants around the hotel so we ate lunch and dinner in the centre of Rome everyday. Overall the hotel is lovely and we would return!
