    Clean and comfortable, but overpriced

    rating27 May 2025

Clean, comfortable and quiet hotel in an excellent location - walkable (for reasonably fit middle aged people) to all Florence attractions, and across the street from the train station (super convenient for day trips outside of Florence). Offers secure parking (for an additional cost). Pleasant and helpful staff. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that, in terms of amenities, this hotel is quite average and offers nothing special that would justify the cost - but that's Florence in a nutshell all over (extremely expensive, there are many much nicer places in Italy that are a fraction of the cost both in terms of hotels and what you pay for visiting attractions)! Andrea Pucci, Altro at Hotel Palazzo Vecchio, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re delighted to hear that you found our hotel clean, comfortable, and quiet, and that our location — just across from the train station and within walking distance of Florence’s main attractions — suited your needs perfectly. It’s especially rewarding to know our staff made a positive impression — we always do our best to ensure our guests feel welcome and supported. As a 3-star hotel, we focus on offering essential comforts, cleanliness, and a strategic location at a fair rate for central Florence. We understand that the city can feel expensive compared to other parts of Italy, and we appreciate your honest observation.Thank you again for your thoughtful review. We hope to welcome you back on your next trip to Florence!Warm regards,Andrea

Great Authentic Stay With Superb Service & Accommodations!

    rating27 May 2025

We booked this hotel last minute after being disappointed with our original booking. Our rate was astonishingly low for the service and accommodations we received. Our room was amazing. The AC worked great, the mattress was comfy and the bathroom was modernized nicely. This hotel is located a short, short walk from the train station (use the tunnel to cross the street) and provides easy walking access to everywhere you want to see in Florence in under 15 minutes. The breakfast is great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Andrea Pucci, Altro at Hotel Palazzo Vecchio, responded to this review Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We’re truly delighted to hear that your stay with us exceeded your expectations—especially after a disappointing experience elsewhere. It’s great to know you found the room comfortable, appreciated the modern touches in the bathroom, and enjoyed the A/C and breakfast. Our team works hard to offer our guests a pleasant and memorable stay, and your kind words about our service and location mean a lot to us.We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back on your next trip to Florence!Warm regards,AndreaHotel Palazzo Vecchio

The Hotel Palazzo Vecchio was a great place to stay

    rating27 May 2025

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Palazzo Vecchio. It’s a 10 minute walk from the SMN train station, but on a side street (GPS takes you right there) so it was absolutely quiet. The Duomo is a 12-15 minute walk and other historic places are similarly close. The room and bathroom were clean. The bathroom was small, so there weren’t many hooks to hang things on nor any surfaces to place things on, but we were able to improvise. The weather was temperate during our trip so we can’t testify to either the heating or the cooling. The breakfast buffet was large and varied – as much or moreso than our other hotels on this trip. One of the best things was the front desk staff, all of whom are generously friendly and fluent in English. We especially enjoyed getting to know Sergey, who was on duty most of the times we came/went through the lobby. Recommended. Andrea Pucci, Altro at Hotel Palazzo Vecchio, responded to this review Dear Guest, thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We’re truly happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us — from our quiet yet central location to the cleanliness of the room and the variety of the breakfast buffet. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the bathroom space; your improvisation spirit is admirable, and we’ll take your comment into consideration for future improvements.A special thanks from Sergey — he’ll be thrilled to know he contributed to making your stay more memorable. It was a real pleasure having you with us, and we hope to welcome you back soon on your next trip to Florence!Warm regards,Andrea

    Position and services excellent

    rating27 May 2025

Extremely well situated hotel. Close to the main station and within easy reach from all major monuments and many restaurants. The room was rather small, but our option was an "economy" room, so, no problems. Breakfast was very satisfactory, with sweet and salted options. Very nice and cooperative staff, bathroom small but with all essentials. Excellent shower. To be recommended Andrea Pucci, Altro at Hotel Palazzo Vecchio, responded to this review Dear Guest, thank you very much for your kind and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear that you appreciated our central location, the quality of our breakfast, and the helpfulness of our staff. We’re also glad that, despite choosing an economy room, your stay was comfortable and enjoyable — and that the shower and bathroom facilities met your expectations.Thank you for recommending us! We truly hope to welcome you back on your next visit to Florence.Warm regards,Andrea Hotel Palazzo Vecchio

    mis information ZTL zone

    rating27 May 2025

HI,we were at this hotel mid September.Hotel was great, good location and great service.Close to all the attractions and train stationsWe stayed 3 days.We had reserved a parking. When we arrived , we asked the front desk that we had come through the ZTL zone and gave the person there our auto info. thought all was good and no fines were coming our way.Well not the case,we just received 2 fines one coming in and one leaving 68.25 euros each. Not very happy with the Hotel. Andrea Pucci, Altro at Hotel Palazzo Vecchio, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed our location and service.Regarding the fines you received, we’d like to clarify how the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone) registration works. When you provided your vehicle details at the front desk, we correctly registered your access to the ZTL, ensuring that you would not receive fines for entering or exiting this zone. However, Florence has additional restricted areas, such as bus lanes and pedestrian-only streets, which are separate from the ZTL and subject to different traffic regulations. Unfortunately, fines for driving in these restricted areas cannot be avoided, as they are direct violations of the traffic code.We understand how frustrating this can be, and we always do our best to inform guests about local traffic rules. If you need further clarification or assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.Best regards,Andrea - Hotel managerHOTEL PALAZZO VECCHIO
