    An honest review

    rating24 Oct 2025

This hotel is rated by Tui as 4*. Sadly it struggles to make 3* at best. The positives are the staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is extremely pleasant. There is something for everyone. The hotel closes for the season next week so for us there wasn’t ever a problem with sunbeds in fact most days we were the only people around the pool and the only noisy children were ours. The restaurant was virtually empty but the choice of food was amazing with staff very quick to clear and make up tables. The beach is very close though this time of year the sea is very cold. The water park is a must visit and like others have said it is half price after 2.30 (I think you would struggle to stay all day). What lets this hotel down is the accommodation. Other reviewers have said C block is the best as it has been refurbished - well I'm sorry but room C201 has not been refurbished and should not be let out again in my opinion. It needs a complete refurbishment along with a deep clean. It has a bath that has seen better days and a shower attachment on the taps. The shower head does not stay in the socket and managed to hit me on the head twice and then the foot. Fed up with this I had a bath. On removing the plug the whole bathroom flooded with an awful sewage smell as well. On talking to reception I was told this always happens everywhere in Zante as the plumbing system is inadequate! Apparently if you bath you have to pull the plug out for 5 seconds then put it back again repeating the process until all the water has gone! How ridiculous and not one sign to advise this. The edge of the bath had sellotape at the base of the tiles which was very odd. However I think it was an attempt to block an ant hole as several would appear every day from around that area and on the floor - thank goodness they weren’t red! There isn’t a grab rail for the bath and as the bath was quite deep and I am vertically challenged getting in and out was quite difficult. The sink was coming away from the wall and the toilet was stained and did not flush properly. No evacuation signage or instructions on how to use air conditioning.Cleaner came in everyday and changed the towels daily but as she had the whole block to clean as well as the pool area she was pressed for time but worked extremely hard. In C301 and C302 mould and mildew patches were present on the ceiling, not good for asthma sufferers.I note from other reviewers that back in July the drain was blocked by the childrens pool causing such a big puddle that you had to walk all round the pool to avoid it. I have to say it is still there and nothing was done even after two further requests from guests. I am amazed at the lack of Health and safety regulations and have no doubt this hotel would be closed down in the UK and even more amazed that a reputable company like TUI would be recommending it. They obviously haven’t stayed in C201!Having said all that, I am not a moaning Minnie, I had a lovely holiday with all my family and at the end of the day you pay for what you get.Would I go back to Tsilivi? In a heart beat, but sadly not at Admiral Hotel.

    rating21 Oct 2025

Honest review travelled 4 adults 1 toddlerEarly October -we were lucky with weather so had nice days about 20-21 degrees….nights chilly ….stayed in rooms overlooking big pool nice enough need updating ….fresh towels supplied regular beds made up ….hotel itself kept clean …..food was nice enough choice for everyone taste ….beer ok ….cocktails nice….poolside food ok ….prefer dining room but staff always pleasant in and outside restaurant…..staff I found to be really friendly good with our toddler….but what made it for us was the entertainment team so a big Thankyou to chelsie Xeena and Tk they work so hard to keep the children that was there and the adults entertained….even involving our 22 month old in the karaoke….all I would say coming from a teaching background and this is due to no fault of the entertainers ….more resources wouldn’t go a miss but they worked extremely hard with what they had …..I do hope the hotel looks at having this team back next year….im sure there’s more they could do with more resources…..all in all we had a lovely stay hope to see you soon ….oh and last thing wasps are an issue here so take your sprays don’t no if this is just in October 😬

    Great food

    rating17 Oct 2025

Had a really lovely week at this great hotel. The staff are exceptionally friendly, brilliant animation team Chelsea, another lady didnt catch her name, and TK. We didnt have children with us but really enjoyed watching them dancing with the kids after evening meal every night. Kids you could see loved it.The restaurant, staff are so attentive, wiping areas, keeping the food looking presentable, getting more drinks for you etc. The chef stood by checking everything all the time, while cooking more meats, fish. The dishes all cooked with imagination and a different twist on them. Salads very inventive, food served in attractive dishes in attractive ways. Plenty of it too. Soups, delicious. Non of that horrible gloopy texture. Everyday tasty. Plenty of vegatarian choice. Desserts although I dont tend to eat them. Fabulous selection. Not the big gateau, tasteless stuff of all inclusive buffets but nice modern desserts as well as an icecream selection, pistachio, toffee, banana, strawberry, vanilla, chocolate.Fresh fruit, tinned fruit. Crackers, cheeses, hams.Breakfast, even peanut butter, with lots of preserves. Where do you get poached eggs at breakfast abroad as well as other egg options.Ate so much, go on regular holidays, never tempted as much as on this one. Wine, the rose, off the pump, very drinkable, not sharp, didnt try red or white. The tip boxes were full of notes, shows how much appreciation guests had for them. Drinking brandy at night or gin and lemonade, both very ok. Entertainment, great guitarist sang for 2 hours, songs through the ages. Another night Hayley Belle, lovely voice, strong and personable lady, sang a great selection of songs. A Michael Jackson dance troup, another good night. An acrobatic team of 3 men, from Kenya, brilliant, and very entertaining, heart was in my mouth some of the moves they did. Other nights Karaoke and Bingo. Accomodation, we had a double and a spare bed, plus a single bed settee, with a frosted glass door that pulled over dividing it off. Family garden room. A lot of people had this type. Some had 3 single beds and bed settee. That meant that there was quite a few 3, same sex people sharing and families, as there was privacy with the divider. Our cleaner was good, left us fresh towels every day and a big bottle of water daily. The rooms arent brand new (block B, which looked directly onto the stage) quite worn, beds so comfy, bedding spotless, hairdryer, kettle, cups , fridge, telly(couldnt get signal) but didnt have time to watch anyway. Back of the hotel good bar called Kaliva, 2 minute walk on the hotel path, before back in the room. Forgot to say, hotel bar only shuts at 12 midnight for all inclusive, better than anywhere else, normally 11 pm. Safe is free, ask reception for the key on arrival. Didnt use aircon. Thin duvet on bed, just right. Book swop place right in reception, plenty of choice. If you use the path out the back of the hotel, by the Kaliva bar, head forward, you have the beach on your doorstep. Lovely walk round all the bays, eateries, a boardwalk round all these bays taking you to a pretty harbour, which leads to the beach to turn off taking you right onto the main streets of Tsilivi. There you'll find all the greek restaurants, tavernas, shops, a few music bars. Last year we stayed this side of town and never realised if you carry on up over the hill after Popeyes pm the corner of the junction, up over the hill takes you back to this hotel, the Admiral, passing by lots of resturants, bars, crazy golf(its a big one) and the ticket office for the land train to other towns Would I stay at this hotel again. Absolutely

Honest review of an enjoyable holiday

    rating24 Sept 2025

Just back from 2 weeks at this hotel. Overall we had a lovely holiday and I would recommend it. We stayed in a family room with garden view in G block and it was lovely. Far enough away from the main pool and stage area meaning we were able to get peace and quiet if we wanted it. You could hear music from the bar next door in the evenings - generally tribute acts - but we didn’t find that too disturbing and it didn’t go on too late either. The beds were very comfortable and the room had everything you would need / expect and was tastefully decorated. Big plus points were plenty of sockets & usb ports, a decent AC unit and a free safe. The shower room was also nicely decorated and adequate and every day the cleaner left a large bottle of water. We did get fresh towels every day, but it would have been nice if they were a bit larger. From the glimpses I saw of other rooms, they were not all of the same standard, particularly in the main hotel building - they appeared to be less spacious and generally more tired. There was one main pool and 3 smaller ones. We found plenty of sunbeds always available and we really didn’t have to worry what time we went down - we always got a good spot, but it was September and after the peak season. Food was great - if there isn’t something you would want to eat then you must be extremely fussy and bar drinks were also good with a good selection. I love a glass of coke and it was the cheap stuff that is just not the same and I did end up buying some from the shops, but that’s not a major issue and pretty much an expectation in these places. Entertainment was hit and miss. Again I’m aware we were out of season, but we were on a weekly cycle. There was a Greek night once a week, a Michael Jackson show that just made us laugh (it wasn’t supposed to) and live singers that were ok but did get a bit repetitive. Not great but could have been a lot worse! The resident entertainment team were upbeat but not too pushy and were a credit to the hotel. I can’t fault any of the staff at all - they were all polite, friendly and seemed happy in their work. Location was also ideal - just a few minutes walk to the nearest beach with enough shops nearby to cater for whatever you need. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday :)
