  Amazing hotel ignore all these terrible reviews staff are so polite the main man himself spiros helped us out when our mate was in hospital and picked us up on his own accord. Pool is quality security is strict on noise after 11 pm. Taxi to strip is 5 mins. Hotel is clean owners and staff are lovely great stay would 100% go again if you want a quite hotel away from the strip after night out come here

  First off, the owners were incredibly rude – they would yell at guests for no apparent reason. We got shouted at just for asking about towel replacements. It created such a hostile atmosphere that we felt uncomfortable every time we walked past reception.As for the rooms – they were in complete disrepair. The furniture was broken, the bathroom barely functioned, and everything just looked run-down and dirty. But the worst part? The beds. Full of bugs. We woke up covered in bites and had to sleep on top of our clothes just to avoid touching the sheets.Overall, Portego Hotel felt more like a punishment than a holiday. The staff’s behavior was unacceptable, the rooms were borderline uninhabitable, and there was clearly no interest in guest comfort or hospitality. Please do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

  the stay was terrible as the place is so dirty when we arrived the rooms were stinking and the owners are just weird as they don’t even let you have a cup of ice. There was ants all over the floors and the shower didn’t even work in my room. I would avoid this hotel at all costs

  Surprisingly Pleasant Stay!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I was a bit hesitant after reading the reviews, but my experience at this hotel was very different — and pleasantly surprising! Yes, the hotel is simple and not fancy (it's a 2-star after all), but what truly made the stay special was the hospitality.The owner and his son went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely cared about our comfort. That kind of personal touch is rare these days, especially in budget accommodation.The room was basic but clean, and I had everything I needed for a comfortable night. If you're looking for luxury, this might not be the place — but if you value kindness, a warm welcome, and supporting hardworking people, give it a chance.Sometimes it's not about the stars, but the heart behind the service. Thank you again for the lovely stay me and daisy will definitely be back

  Sorry about the late review Nico and Spiros! We had an amazing time here from 20th to 30th Sept, and we loved it! The family go above and beyond to make you welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. As for those moaning about cleanliness, I don't think you can have been here! Only once did we see dog poo in 10 days, and it soon disappeared. Never saw any cat poo either. If you expect 5* then you have some cheek, because it's not advertised as such. Our apartment was cleaned regularly, plenty of clean bedding and towels. Cleaners were pleasant. Rosie who made our breakfasts and snacks was amazing. Yes, it does say sc, but breakfasts are made fresh to your requirements and we enjoyed them. Not expensive either. The pool was very clean. You don't fight for sunbeds here and it's tranquil. There are obnoxious people who love to complain. I can only suggest that they go to 5* places and pay 5* prices. It was very quiet there too, and the two little dogs were attached to Nico by the hip. I would go again in preference to a 5* establishment with snotty staff. The family are animal lovers and all the cats we met were adorable.I wanted to bring some home! At Christmas I would like to say a huge thankyou to Nico, Spiros, his gorgeous well mannered little boys, Rosie, and all other staff at Portego.We have been looking after 89 and 90 year old close family since we got back, so apologies for this late review. Thankyou for everything ❤️
