This hotel is located in the village of Imerovigli, which lies at the highest point of the famous Caldera, perched among the black volcanic cliffs. This property offers a unique combination of privacy, sophisticated luxury, unique decoration and breathtaking views of the endless blue and the world's most famous sunset. Guests will find the nearest restaurants, bars and shops just 2 km away in Fira. Santorini's Thira Airport is just 9 km away.

Facility

The property includes a villa/house as well as 10 suites. In the air-conditioned hotel, guests are welcomed in the lobby with 24-hour reception desk and a -hour check-in/check-out service. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions.     Beautiful boutique hotel in the middle of Imerovigli

    We stayed in the Moon light suite and it was perfect for us . There are two suites that are right on the walking path and some people commented on the lack of privacy. The Moonlight suite is located above the pool so very private. There is an outside tub with a balcony perfect for two. Beautiful blue and white decor inside the room and a Very comfortable bed. They clean your room daily and you get a big bottle of water for free.The hotel is located in the middle of Imerovigli which is perfect to walk to Fira and/or Oia.The bar was closed for the season but no issue as there is a mini market right across the street as well as the wine bar beside the hotel.There is a nice pool (not heated) with several lounges chairs (no shade).The staff is very helpful and they deliver breakfast to your suite in the morning at the time of your choosing.I would recommend this hotel if you are looking to be in the center of Santorini and looking for something smaller as it only has ten suites.Thank you to the team at Above Blue Suites for an amazing stay in Santorini!

    Nice rooms and views, but showing its age. Pick your room wisely to ensure privacy from walkers!

    TLDR: If you are looking for nice views and don’t care about a somewhat dilapidated facility, this place is totally fine. If you want privacy, be sure to avoid Charm and Harmony. The good:Beautiful views of the caldera and sunsets Friendly and responsive staffGood location for walking to either Fira or OiaSpacious rooms Know before you go:Charm and Harmony suites are right on the walking trail to Fira and Oia so there is zero privacy for you on the patios. If we had known we were going to be on this level we would have not booked here! The walkers are literally 2 feet from you while you’re eating breakfast or trying to relax in your hot tub. The hotel is definitely showing signs of age. There is a lot of wear and tear. For example, The pools and personal hot tubs have visible damage and rust spots. We stayed at the end of September which is close to the end of their busy season. When we arrived we were told the only drinks they could make were pina coladas because they were shutting the bar down the next day. So no bar after the first night of our stay as well. On our last day there we walked up to the pool and found two randoms who apparently felt they were fine to spend the night on the loungers and the hotel seemed not to care either. They were there well past breakfast time.

    I didn’t realize when I booked this room that Above Blue is an Aqua Vista hotel. It needs updating: the mattresses are old spring type and lumpy, the hot tub (our friends’ villa) had only one working jet, lots of rusted and neglected areas. And maybe this is the case for all Santorini hotels built into the mountain, but the rooms are dank and moldy. The staff is very good, but obviously hampered by cost cutting from above.

    We stayed one night in the Rose Suite. The room was spacious and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. This suite is located in a nice location where you don't see foot traffic like the lower units do. We really enjoyed the breakfast from the patio. We also were happy staying in this area because it was much quieter and less busy than Oia. Would stay at Above Blue again and I'm the Rose Suite.

    Above Blue was our home for 4 nights. We stayed in the Charm Suite which had its very own outdoor jacuzzi and private outdoor sitting area for viewing sunset and eating breakfast. This lovely suite was absolutely perfect for us. The location in Imerovigli meant we were away from the crazy crowds of Oia and Fira. It was peaceful at night even though our suite is located right on the walk path between Fira and Oia.The staff were amazing - Alexandra & Giota were so kind and professional as were the 2 young males who were in charge of porting luggage and delivering breakfast.The 4 night stay was just perfect and if we come back to Santorini, this is where we will stay.
