A Disappointing Stay at a Hotel with Great Potential
26 Aug 2026
The reception team was professional and helpful, especially when they quickly handled our request to shorten the stay due to changes to our return flight.Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing. The hotel has great potential, but it is very dated and not sufficiently maintained. The property is huge, and some rooms are extremely far from the main areas. Our room was not particularly clean, and the bedding was old and uncomfortable. There is no proper parking area for guests, so you have to park quite far away. Even upon arrival, we had to unload our luggage far from reception, and no one came to assist us. This is not the level of service you would expect from a hotel of this standard. The pool area was especially disappointing. A friend of mine slipped around the pool, seriously injured her leg, and needed medical attention. Unfortunately, the hotel staff showed almost no concern and did not properly assist her after the incident. This was extremely disappointing and concerning. The pool was also very crowded in August, with old and poorly maintained sunbeds and umbrellas. On several occasions, there were not enough towels, and guests were simply unable to get one. Unfortunately, many members of staff throughout the resort were not welcoming or friendly, which made the overall atmosphere less pleasant. The food was below expectations. The dining room felt more like a hospital or military canteen than a hotel restaurant. The all-inclusive offering was very basic, with mostly processed food and limited quality. There was no food available at the pool bar during lunchtime, requiring a long walk to the beach area. Even in the evening, getting a drink meant walking quite far.Overall, a very disappointing experience. We had been really looking forward to staying here, and it is a shame because the hotel has so much potential to be a beautiful and well-maintained resort.

We came back after a week in Hydra beach resort, the location of the hotel is unique with three private beaches, we are fun’s of the sea and this was a plus. The service and the food are very nice but take some improvement, what I missed is a playground for my child.

Worse hotel ever. It’s an absolute scam no where near 5 star hotel it’s laughable more like 2 stars. It’s dirty unhygienic, there’s no one in charge. No nets on the windows. Showers not having hot water and not draining properly. Food it’s very poor no variety full of flies and mosquitoes. Worse stay ever. So overpriced too. Everything it’s an absolute disaster. AVOID at all costs. Absolute scam.
