    Terrific Athens Experience

    rating02 Jun 2025

Terrific location. 20 min easy, interesting walk to the Acropolis. Lots of shops and interesting bakeries, restaurants very close. Hotel staff were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable, clean and modern. Great breakfast. Great rooftop bar with spectacular view of the Acropolis George Papadakis, Owner at Athens Center Square, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you so much for writing a nice review that will help others to make their choice in the future. lovely hotel

    rating02 Jun 2025

When I first saw the outside (sandwiched between two market stalls) I thought 'Oh sweet Zeus! what have I done?' but once inside I was very happy with everything. ALL the staff were very lovely, kind and helpful. The room was just perfect! Nice bottle of red wine as a welcome gift, the shower was huge!! Its location is perfect for so many of the sites near by, easily in walking distance. some really good shops and places to eat right on my doorstep. When I come back to Athens hopefully I am able to rebook here as I really enjoyed my stay here. couldn't fault a single thing. oh and the view from the roof is just wonderful! An amazing view

    rating02 Jun 2025

The area surrounding the hotel wasn't great, but it was very close to the nearest train station. We were given a room on the top floor which had an amazing view. The lift was close by so it could be heard all day and night, so I would recommend taking earplugs. The road outside can be a little noisy, and there are markets outside that set up early. However, the night life wasn't disruptive. All staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a great selection. There are 2 lifts but they are quite small. There is a roof terrace which has amazing 360 views, and drinks from the bar on the ground floor can be taken up. I would stay if visiting Athens again. Great location, Pure breakfast, Good rooms

    rating02 Jun 2025

The hotel’s central location is undoubtedly its biggest advantage. Situated just a short walk from Monastiraki Square and the Acropolis, it’s perfect for exploring the city on foot. The bustling Varvakios Market is right next door, which adds a unique local vibe, though it might not appeal to everyone due to the early morning noise. The breakfast buffet was quite disappointing. The scrambled eggs appeared to be cooked rather than fried, releasing an unusual liquid. The vegetables, especially the tomatoes, were far from fresh and practically inedible. Overall, the breakfast fell short of expectations. NOT Recommended. The room was clean, modern, and equipped with the essentials. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They provided helpful tips for sightseeing.Athens Center Square Hotel is a good choice for tourists who prioritize location and value. While it’s not a luxury property, it delivers comfort, convenience, and great service. The hotel is an good choice for those who want to stay in the heart of Athens, enjoy budget-friendly rates, and have a decent place to sleep. It's recommended to request rooms facing the Acropolis for a better experience.I'm not sure I will consider staying there again on my next visit to Athens. George Papadakis, Owner at Athens Center Square, responded to this review Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences of your stay with us and our future guests. Your feedback helps us examine our achievements and to improve our service.Best regards

Many good points but one very bad.

    rating02 Jun 2025

This was our second time to Athens so had a fair idea of what to expect. This our first stay at Athens Centre Square hotel we found to have many good points such as helpful friendly staff, spotless rooms serviced by great cleaners, good breakfast and a bar on the roof which has views to die for that must be as good as anything in Athens. Unfortunately the hotel has one big downside that’s not its own fault. That is location, great proximity for getting around Athens but on a street which drug use is openly carried out and many undesirable people are constantly asking for money as soon as the sun goes down. The street is also a market street which after closing has a few bad smells and grubby appearance. Shame for the hotel and great staff but this street would stop me recommending this for future visits unless the situation improves.
