    TINY ROOM

    rating22 Jun 2026

Without question the smallest, nastiest, pokiest most claustrophobic hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Just awful. Never again.

Artsy, techy hotel in a good location

    rating22 Jun 2026

The hotel is in a great location, near restaurants, parks, museums, and the castle. You have to travel to the top floor to find reception, but the lobby has great views of the surrounding area. They really want to be techy, down to the iPad that controls everything in the rooms. I think they try too hard. There is a nice bar, restaurant, and place to leisure or play games on the top floor. That is good, because the room is small. The person sleeping on the window side needs to crawl over the other person to get to the bathroom. The room is comfortable. The bathroom is incredibly small, but with a nice shower. We liked it. Not everyone would. The breakfast was good.

If you're solo stay cheaper, if you're a couple stay somewhere else at the same price

    rating08 Jun 2026

Terrible hotel, the rating on Marriott so far looks good at 4.5 stars because it was a new hotel but has already started climbing down to 4 and will likely go lower. The check in auto checks you in as 1 person when you have 2 people. So then your platinum benefits only apply as 1 person, when you email them a day after check out you get a message back a month later that says "sorry we can't do anything now!"The location is great but the room is tiny and so it really is meant for a 1 person room. The food at the bar at the top is so so at best, just your regular American food to cater to the average stayer. There's no amenities at the hotel, status recognition is zero given they are allowed to Bonvoy people out of the Platinum breakfast like some of the other brands, but its not like they're a Ritz Carlton opting out.Service was non-existant because that's actually part of their brand. The bathroom felt like I was back at a local train station hotel in Tokyo but even smaller. The only thing to make your stay pleasant is if you're not actually in your room the whole time, and if you're not actually in your room there's cheaper options at 20% less and if you're traveling solo you might as well just do a capsule hotel, which this one feels like its just a marginal step above but at 5x the price. If you're traveling as a couple I recommend booking a real hotel instead.

What can we get away with

    rating07 Jun 2026

Designed by someone who’s obviously been given the brief ‘let’s see how much we can squeeze into the smallest possible space’. Out with the area beside the beds to actually get in and out. Let’s make one wall of the bathroom glass, to give the illusion of airiness, and make it the exact same size as the bed so we can squeeze them in next to one another. We’ll put the desk underneath the television (one job at a time) and make it only 15cm wide and the only other (narrow) flat area a sink as well so we don’t have to clutter up the bathroom. And then! make it look faux trendy as though all this cheap skating is just a clever idea, for a bit of fun - ha ha. What about an iPad! instead of boring old switches. Have just two settings - every light in the room brilliant, or pitch black darkness. Pretend a hotel room doesn’t need space for an actual suitcase. And who needs a water glass or a few bits of cutlery in case you bring a yoghurt back to your room? Or get thirsty, or need to rinse your mouth out?Room hasn’t been cleaned? You have to ask! for that - silly. There’s a market for this sort of thing, for young, poor people, looking for a cheap doss down, but this an expensive hotel. Sure it’s in the centre of town but every detail is such an obvious ploy to save money it’s cringe. There’s a chain of Citizen Ms - what a surprise!

Tiny room. Would not stay there again.

    rating10 May 2026

First the positives. Comfortable bed. Fantastic blackout shades. Clean room. Pleasant staff. But the rooms are tiny. You have to climb over the other person in bed to get to the side by the window. Essentially no bathroom. Toilet and shower in a single enclosure. Would not stay in that hotel or that hotel chain again given the the room we had. Very poor value.
