Good beach Hotel
Great location (Ruzafa) and really helpful staff. Plenty bars and restaurants close by for a night out and a 15 minute walk into the city centre The room was comfortable and was cleaned every day. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Valencia and would stay there again.
Stayed for 3 nights last week and have no complaints. Hotel and room very clean and good bathroom shower and bath, both bedroom and bathroom cleaned every day. All front desk staff very helpful. The number 8 bus around the corner takes you to the centre in around 6 mins and the number 7 brings you back. Nice local area for bars and restaurants etc Supermarket also just around the corner. Would happily return to stay again.
Felt that this was an average hotel throughout our four night stay. Checkin was efficient.Room had no view and was distinctly average. Had no idea how the air conditioner worked. Room was clean and there were two bottles of complimentary water in an otherwise empty fridge. We were on the 7th floor. Layout of the bathroom was good and bath and shower were very good. The complimentary shampoo and shower gel were good quality. Bed was very comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and efficient although just felt the whole hotel could do with an update. Breakfast pretty much had all you wanted however any eggs other than hard boiled had to be ordered from the kitchen. This wasn't a problem and I enjoyed an omelette which was very tasty. Items did take a while to be replenished at breakfast and the coffee machine and toaster were very slow. The highlight of breakfast was the freshly squeezed orange juice machine which had disappeared on our last day. Good variety of fresh and different types of bread. Housekeeping was efficient and room was always made up on our return after a day's walking. Overall hotel was a bit far out from the centre for us (about 25 min walk). Lots of good restaurants in the immediate area of the hotel. Ps. We didn't hear or notice any building work going on!!
Do not ask for a front-facing room with a view. You have been warned. There is a massive, multi-story excavation/building project directly smack across the street from the hotel -- and they are allowed to work from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Work, meaning, an enormous and thunderous pile-driving mechanism which drills many, many stories downward in a monstrous excavation pit, creating an ear-shattering KA-BOOM on each and every one of the machine's repetitive thrusts. It is not just excruciatingly loud, it actually reverberates through your whole body. And that 10 p.m. cut-off is not a mistake. There are massive klieg-lights to illuminate the area and you'll need to close your curtains or don't look that way. This is un-civil, this is maddening and this is an acoustic punishment -- all for your $200 per night. Yes, let it be said it is beyond the hotel's control. Understood. Still, we thank heavens we were there for one night only. And speaking of the hotel, one round of coffee per room, no more. If you ask, you will be told no. And this includes both the espresso plugs and the tasteless instant coffee packets. One, no more. Sorry, but this is just plain cheap. There is no complimentary coffee in the lobby (so you better enjoy your one cup in your room). The fitness room has a wall-sized rack for an assortment of free weights -- but you will find only 4 barbells (2 of the 2.5, 2 of the 7.5). People have obviously made off with the other weights. Who are such people?! A few machines, all crowded together in a tiny windowless room. You must get a card-key to enter the fitness center on a daily basis, and it only opens at 8 a.m., not before. Breakfast starts at 7 a.m. and has pretty much all you can ask for (self-serve), nothing really hot (more room-temp) but there is a microwave and a toaster belt. Strangely, a bottle of champagne for those getting started early. And hey, all the coffee you can drink in here. Our 1-Bedroom King had a giant bed, bath tub and big living room with coach, easy-chair and door to close off bedroom (also mini-refrigerator stocked with high-priced mini-bar items, no microwave, small kettle). Complimentary water in the room, you guessed it -- one bottle only. The good news -- normally -- is that there is a bedroom window to open for a breeze. The bad news, that construction. If you can handle all this, be sure to get an inward facing room, though I can't vouch for what awaits you there.
We had a very good short stay at this hotel, I can’t agree with the negative comments, we have stayed in many hotels throughout Europe and this is exactly what we expected. Location is slightly off the main attractions but easily walkable for most people within 25-30 minutes on level and flat pavement. The hotel standard is as advertised and we had nothing to complain about. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Most speak good English and are polite and happy to help. Avoid the busiest times at breakfast because it tends to get a bit crowded but we always found a table! They have good selection of breakfast items which would cater for anybody’s tastes. Hotel was light, and airy well maintained but some may find it a bit ‘corporate’ in decor, if you want something small and quirky this is not for you. 25 minute taxi ride from the airport costs about 25 Euros.
