Well located historic hotel

The Park Plaza is ideally located for a Boston visit .. only a block from the Public Park, the Boston Commons and the nearest metro station, and a short walk from the Charles River and multiple restaurants and stores. The hotel itself is a well modernised historic building: rooms are comfortable and of good size for a city center location. The lobby, bar and restaurant are located in a well-appointed, large and airy atrium-style area. The staff were very helpful, and immediately relocated us when we noted that our initial room had an interior courtyard view. But I give only 4 stars since: 1) there is a destination charge which give little value (especially as the gym was closed when we were there!), 2) there is no Hilton Honor line at the front-desk, 3) there is no executive lounge, 4) the breakfast buffet is OK but I would expect more for the charge (more toasters please!!). Be that as it may I would be very pleased to stay here again. I had an excellent stay at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza. Everything was perfect from the moment I arrived. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is ideal for exploring Boston. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help.A special thank you to Souhaila for the exceptional service. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout my stay. Expensive unwanted hugs in the bathroom

What a let down we stayed 4 nights paid about $685 pernight for a 1 king studio suite w/sofabed. First the room did not have all the furniture list that was listed on website missing coffee table and armchair along with radio alarm clock. Room was in poor repair and had mold in bathroom. The bathroom was about 2 feet wide no room to move. The sink area no wider than 16 inches including the sink. The area for the toilet was so small that when used the shower curtain touched you on one side and the toilet paper roll was touching you on the other and I am of average size. I asked for the missing furnishings to be delivered and was told there was none to be had. Yet I paid for a suite fully furnished. I asked to be moved they said all the bathrooms were the same. If you read this beware what is listed and what is not shown on the we site. This experience was an expensive lesson learned. No more hiltons for me.
