Location

The beach is only 200 metres away from this luxury hotel. Situated on the cliff of Ponta de Cruz somewhat outside Funchal, the hotel affords wonderful views. The town centre is 3 km away. Links to the public transport network lie just 50 m away, whilst restaurants and shops may be found within 100 m of the hotel. The airport is approximately a 35-minute drive away.

Facility

177 non-smoking rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Rooms feature a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning and central heating ensure comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. Various dining options are available, including a non-smoking restaurant, a dining room and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A delicious and varied buffet is prepared for breakfast and lunch every day, and a set menu can be ordered at dinner. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Everything was Great in the Pestana Grand. We had wonderful time. The food was great and the best capital was the Staff. They all done a fantastic job.One restaurant was Buffet and two a la card. Good location, close to the city and though very quite.

    Excellent Hotel with all the amenities expected of a 5 star hotel. Lovely grounds. Ideally placed next to a lovely promenade for walking towards Funchal Centre. On a bus route, plus taxis available on demand. Fiendly staff & good dining facilities. Highly recommended.
